Evie is overwhelmed by emotions after rememebering that her real name is actually Rose. Her turmoil is made worse by the news that one of her fellow stormtroopers has gone missing and she suspects one of the Hux brothers may be responsible. She will have to have her wits about her if she is to survive long in the cut throat world of the First Order.

I'm EV2989, stormtrooper and budding mechanical engineer. I'm pretty handy with a shock prod but my dream is to take off this helmet one day and claim a position on board the destroyer Impirialis. The only problem is my clumsiness got me on the wrong side of my boss's son, Armitage Hux, and now he's got it in for me. Plus his temptingly sexy younger brother, Edward Hux, has also taken an interest. My inhibitor chip keeps malfunctioning and giving me feelings and oh yeah, and I can't seem to remember who I am.

I will figure it all out in time. Meanwhile, better avoid the Hux boys and get on with my studies at the First Order's centre for military excellence: Arkanis Academy.
