𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬:
arthur was born in a village hidden amidst the trees in the netherlands but he never knew his parents. the human that found him quickly peddled him off to some hunter family for two chickens and a bag of grains (a deal they said). he had no concept of life outside the compound he was raised within and taught. there was only what the muntz family taught him and he was blissfully ignorant of anything else.
raised alongside the youngest of the muntz family, for a long time he believed that he was just like one of them. taught to hunt and to track. years passed and soon his hunter found a small werewolf pup. it felt at first as though he were being replaced but in time he began to regard the small boy as his own. for a brief fleeting moment they were a family and arthur imagined for the first time a happy future, a full life. naively he believed it would work out and he and his hunter would grow old alongside their little pup.
a fateful day in winter say him turning upon another hunter at the compound. at first it was an impulse he could ignore but then it grew far more primal and uncontrollable. there was a foul word spoken about the young werewolf in his care and arthur acted without thinking. before his hunter could stop him, he was upon the hunter that had called his pup a filthy mongrel. arthur only came too later, covered in blood with his hunter holding him down to keep him from finishing ripping the man apart. as punishment he was shackled for a week, kept in a cage as his hunter defended him from being put down for being ‘a dangerous weapon’. before the muntz clan could deliberate, arthur broke free using the same skills taught to him by his hunter and hoped to spare fallout to his family if he were to run away. arthur would be hunted for close to ten years before finally he was free and always kept near to the compound when he could to keep an eye on those he loved dearly.
arthur is fairly easy to approach, granted he has a soft spot for younger werwolves. naturally he is wary of other supernatural creatures and chooses to be fairly isolated with a few choice exceptions due to being isolated for nearly twenty years on his own. it takes a lot for him to confide and talk earnestly to people which helps somewhat with his job. it's simpler to offer facts and directions instead of getting to know people. plus the quiet is comforting and arthur can’t think of a better place than the library. most surprising is what he has recently discovered underneath the building though as head librarian and guardian of the secrets buried below, he takes his task seriously and has ended many curious lives that wandered down the wrong stairwell.
work keeps him busy during the week and arthur likes to use it as an excuse to stay away from most of los santos. in truth it allows him plenty of opportunities to watch and listen to the city. after all, everyone overlooks the cheerful librarian. arthur spends most of his free time walking through the conservatory of flowers or reading a book at love you a latte. some weekends he ends up in the woods surrounding los santos but most of the time he either stays home in his little house in sunnyside or goes to last chapter to find a new book for the library. if you manage to find him you might be lucky enough to convince the werewolf to tell you a story or unlucky enough to learn why he was so gifted as a hunter’s companion.
