//Alright so since the sort of counterpart of this blog is kinda gone now, I’m gonna stick to my word of “this blog exists for as long as that blog is around”. It’s not like I was really active here anyway but, y’know. I’m not deleting, mostly because I’m still fond of this kid and would like to look at his old RPs sometimes but I’ll likely make him into an archive. Thanks for all the good times
“Oh- So we’re not siblings..?” Oddly enough, it’s slightly disappointing. He’d love to have a brother or sister who’s lived their life away from the underground. It’d be interesting.
“Uh, yeah. I am kinda new actually- I want to learn things about the surface. Nice to meet you by the way, I’m Soran.”
“No, but we sure look like we could be, huh?” he grins. That very grin, however, soon vanishes and is replaced by a blank look.
“Wait--surface? Are you from, uh, y’know, down below?” Is that even possible? Oh boy, the questions are starting to run through his head.
"Trick or Treat? Pick one I dare you to."
“T-treat???” I n t e r n a l s c r e a m i n g
Nothing more than a little chuckle, really.
“What ever gave you the idea I’d poison candy~?” It’s obvious why.
He stares at him suspiciously.
“I think I could name a few reasons....more like a whole lot of reasons....”
"Trick or Treat? Pick one I dare you to."
“T-treat???” I n t e r n a l s c r e a m i n g
“I thought you’d pick treat so here you go~!” Oh, it’s chocolate.
“I made it myself ~♥”
Blinking at the chocolate, he looks at Nameless, to the chocolate, then back to Nameless again. He squints.
“You....You didn’t poison it or anything, yeah...?”
"Trick or Treat? Pick one I dare you to."
“T-treat???” I n t e r n a l s c r e a m i n g
"Did you know there's probably at least ten little blond british bastards walking around here can you fucking explain this"
“How should I know?! We’re not in England, yeah?? Are they all friends or something??”
“Oh wow! It’s almost Halloween? Ha! Haha! Time to stay home and not come out for a while! Not that I haven’t been already..”

I haven’t felt any sort of muse from this kid in forever
"What if I shot /you/ in the foot?"
“Well--uh....Well now, that wouldn’t be real nice of you....”
"WHAT IF-- I shot your horned friend in the foot."
“If you do anything to him, I’m gonna do something about it so you better watch your back and I mean it!”
“Don’t act like you’re an immortal like me.”
Clenching his teeth, he hugs himself firmly with a seemingly frustrated expression. “You will die. I won’t. I can’t die even if something blew my body into pieces.”
Glancing back at the other, he forces himself to display an awfully bitter smile.
“It hurts more than anything. But it’s better than having something taken away from you rather than having nothing in the first place. You should know that…”
He avoids eye contact, his brow creasing slightly and his lips pressing together as he seems to shrink away.
“Maybe I should know that--but you know me. I’m stupid, yeah? Haha.” The laugh dies on his lips and he hesitantly draws his eyes to the boy’s face with a faint smile.
“I guess I’ll leave for now.” He backs away steadily.
“Sorry.”
Vision quickly flickered back towards the foreigner, how rude to simply disregard that of whom you were conversing with… Though his teachers were deceased, he’d no right to further soil their names or their lessons.
I am undeserving of your apology. The words near slipped his tongue, only grasped and held by the obligations that had driven the purpose of such a statement. Troubling others with emotion was brimming with greed.
“Neither what you address as ‘caramel’, or any other variation of that odd compact form of the ‘caramel’…”
Hoping small talk to disperse his bleak thoughts, the boy stared at his brother’s lookalike.
“Assuming, of course, such variations exist?”
Yohio blinks, a little confused by the choice of words.
“...By other variations, would that mean ‘candy’? Or....?” His voice trails off questionably, his head cocking to one side.
“Well anyway--gee, I don’t know what to tell you other than you’ve been missing out...!” he says with a nervous laugh, scratching the back of his head.
For his expression shifts into one of shock, his eyes growing wide as he finds himself in a rather unexpected embrace. Does he believe this stranger? Why of course he does.
“Y-You’ve been looking for me–?? Why have I never heard anything about you-? Does this mean you’re the first of us to be born on the surface?” For his mind seems to be flooded with innumerable questions, though his limit is to only ask three out loud.
Alright, alright, it’d be mean to drag this out for too long.
“Nah, I’m just messing with you!” he says, pulling away with a bright smile and patting his back good-naturedly. “We’re total strangers, but that doesn’t mean we always have to be! I’m Yohio! Are you new around here or something?”

Another…? Is he from the underground as well–? Ah, but his clothing seems to look that of surface apparel. Did his mother give birth up here then–?
The male simply taps the other’s shoulder as to gain his attention before meeting his gaze with whom seems to share a face with himself. “I’m sorry to bother but- are you maybe my twin brother–?”
At the tap on the shoulder, he faces his lookalike and it takes a second to register who it is he’s looking at. Brows raising at the inquiry, he then breaks into a smile.
He decides to humor this stranger, if only for a little.
And he starts off just a bit too dramatically:
“At long last, I’ve finally found you...!!” And he throws his arms around the boy and pulls him into a hug.
With that, he shoves the taller away, growling but with liquid continuing to pour from his eye.
“Why do you try and put up with me–? You’ll be gone like every other person eventually too… I’ll still be here…” He spins around with arms crossed over his chest, now facing away from the male. “Don’t you think it’d be easier for me if I was just left alone? It’d be better if you spent precious time somewhere else.”
He stumbles back a step from the push, slight hurt in his expression but only silence upon his lips. He remains this way until the boy has finished speaking.
“I won’t be going anywhere.”
A lie.
“I mean,” he grins, “unless something kills me, I’ll be around, yeah?”
The lie sets down a layer of guilt in the pit of his stomach. There’s no point in pretending it’s not going to happen. His end is inevitable.
The collar secure around his throat suddenly seems much too tight but he resists pulling at it.
“But--I don’t know if that’s true, it being easier for you. It’s not like being alone all the time isn’t painful.”
The forest dweller’s eyes widened. He’d known none from this dimension who could possibly stand such a flavor. The knowledge of even sweeter things being enjoyed and common… how confusing. Though, as he isn’t to dictate the tastes of foreigners, it would be best to dismiss this topic and move on.
“I’ve naught tasted anything resembling that flavor, in total honesty. Anything sharing the faintest of similarities I’ve not consumed in quite a while, either…”
It had been quite a while since the woodland boy had consumed anything. Despite the abundance of edible foliage, hunger was less of an issue than it was an annoyance. Were no physical harm to assault him, this forest rendered him relatively immortal. A sorrowful glance was cast away from the dimensional crosser, focusing instead on the trees.
That alone was reason to stay. Were he to abandon these woods starvation would easily claim him…
After all, none useless can earn, can they?
His jaw drops.
“Seriously? So that was the first time you ever tried caramel?” He thought all people have tried it at least once in their lives!
Hold up, he realizes, this is a different dimension. Is there a possibility that such a candy isn’t available here?
Ah yes, Yohio, you’re finally using that head of yours.
“That definitely must’ve been a shock then, heh-- I’m real sorry about that!”
That forlorn look towards the trees hadn’t escaped his notice and he can’t help but wonder what could be on the boy’s mind. There’s probably a lot of things troubling him, actually. For someone his age, he has a solemn air about him.
A scarlet hue manifested on the child’s cheeks. That was quite unnecessary…
“My utmost apologies, though I must question how you can withstand such a flavor. Ah, no matter. Such a question is fairly useless…”
The youth’s gaze flickered towards the taller. It was interesting, to say the least, in how many other dimensions seemed so odd. Despite the original the use of a dimensional intersection, perhaps this abandoned place was the peculiar one? Perhaps that was why the gods had left so.
As if he’s forgotten the panic he had been experiencing moments before, his face brightens considerably.
“Well, this is nothing compared to the other stuff we have back home! Like, one time I had this rea---lly good cake!! But, you see, the problem was, it was so sweet, I could’ve sworn it was gonna make my teeth fall out!! I only had about half of it before I realized I couldn’t finish--” Pausing, the smile begins to slip away as a thought occurs to him.
“Hm, but that’s strange. I thought most kids liked candy? You’re probably the first exception I’ve seen.”
