Now, I know what you’re thinking. How did this happen? Well, it’s a long story.
13 days of O U T L A N D E R day four – La Dame Blanche (season two, episode four)
F A V O U R I T E M O M E N T ➤ While I really did like the ‘Come Find Me’ scene, I also really enjoyed this moment. I thought since the other one already had a place in this post, I would choose this one as my favourite scene in this episode. There is just so much going on right here. What happened to Mary earlier on was not really fun to watch and of course I feel very sorry for her, but what followed was crazy and hilarious. For starters, there was Mary’s uncle and fiancé who went completely berserk when they saw her with Alex. Then Murtagh stepping out of the shadows with a knife in his hand, completely disheveled and not at all fit for a fancy dinner party. There was Le Comte who for the first time speaks English – because God forbid he would do it for Claire or Jamie – in order to impress Bonnie Prince Charlie. And of course little Fergus, who totally indulges himself with the barely touched food and wine, while everyone else is busy. Also, kudos to Bear McCreary for yet again providing us with an awesome soundtrack!
F A V O U R I T E N O T I N T H E B O O K M O M E N T ➤ These two are adorable together and there is no denying it. Here we get to learn a bit more about Fergus and what his time in the brothel has taught him. He is quick to detect that there is something off with Mary and what it possibly could be exactly – and he is absolutely spot on. Murtagh, on the other hand, does not really notice such things, however, he cannot help but ask Fergus if he knows something about Suzette as well, which naturally reveals a bit about his feelings towards her.
F A V O U R I T E J A M I E / C L A I R E M O M E N T ➤ We were all waiting for this moment to happen. It was very beautifully done and as we later learn, blue is the colour of healing. This moment here is all about mending deep wounds. There really is not much to say other than as Claire tells Jamie ‘’Come find me. Find us.’’ and of course, they built their way back to each other again.
F A V O U R I T E C L A I R E M O M E N T ➤ I really like Claire and Mother Hildegarde’s relationship. Like Jamie has Murtagh, Claire has got Mother Hildegarde in Paris, who works a bit as a parental figure for her. She looks up to her and you can see that she is very proud, when Mother Hildegarde reveals that Claire is a lot better than nothing. That is huge compliment consider who it is coming from and those smiles that they exchange warm my heart.
F A V O U R I T E J A M I E M O M E N T ➤ This scene was absolutely heartbreaking to watch. Jamie is really pouring his heart out here for the first time in a while. Ever since they left the monastery in Scotland, Jamie and Claire have not really talked about what happened. In this scene here, they both cannot take it anymore. We get to know how much Jamie is really struggling and what he actually feels. It looks as if he himself is even afraid of admitting what is really going on, and he is just so lonely. Sam Heughan is amazing in this scene and he delivers the little speech about a fortress perfectly.
