Day 1
Today marks the first day of me trying to study for the upcoming 2017 bar examinations. I decided to jumpstart my review today even if the online bar review I signed up for started two months ago while I was still in the middle of my last semester in law school. After our final exams, I let myself binge watch three KDramas (Korean Dramas) for 1 week just to unwind for a bit. All the those series reminded me that I had to start to study for the bar.
In “Remember: War of the Son”, which is a law themed Kdrama, inspired me to study hard for the bar exam and reminded me why I decided to pursue law. *Strike one!*
“Fight for my Way” is ongoing and has only released its sixth episode. The main actor, Kim Ji Won, in the first episode had a boyfriend who was then studying for the bar. *Strike two!*
The last Kdrama I watched was “Cheese in the Trap”, starring Kim Go Eun and Park Hae Jin. During the first episodes, Go Eun was living on her own in this shabby apartment in which she had a neighbor who was preparing for the bar exams. But since Go Eun was always confused whenever she went home, she was always venting out her confusion and stress by screaming and murmuring which disturbed her then neighbor. *Strike three*
That was the moment when it hit me, that even though I was still waiting for the results of my final exams and the final list of graduating students, that the universe wanted me to start studying for the bar. And so I did.
For my review, I started with Legal Ethics, however, I ended up getting bored and decided to stop after an hour of trying to review. I printed out the syllabus of the bar for Legal Ethics and Remedial Law.
Now, I am thinking of starting to read the Rules of Court for Civil Procedure.
I realize that I have to be more productive by tomorrow.
