whats the history behind naughty women? (the band izzy played in)

naughty women actually had a long history before and after izzy, theres a documentary about them on youtube.

they were sort of cast out from the la music scene as their image was kinda shocking to most people.

they were all essentially in drag, and would have like animal skulls and shit on stage.

izzy was only in it for a few months. and on his first show with them, skinheads tried to beat them up and he had to use his cymbals to defend himself lol

Izzy is…a punk rocker

He was part of the LA punk scene around Orange County. He says he lived for skateboarding and punk back then. He was still going by his real name, Jeff Isbell.

He drummed for Naughty Women, The Atoms and possibly The Babysitters. He didn’t stay in any of these bands very long.

Found a very lo fi recording of The Atoms, which he’s supposed to be drumming on. Enjoy!
