Beautiful inside and out ❤️
Say what you will about the art style or character designs for this show- Pelswick's a cutie pie.

I had drawn a pudgy Pelswick a few months back as a little challenge with working with the show's proportions. Since some of my friends liked it I did a front view attempt- and put emphasis on "challenge" because drawing a front-on with this show is VERY different from drawing a 3/4. But still a fun, cute proportion practice, that's all.

But if you're only passing through, then take me to heaven with you
Or is this a dream too good to be true?
Combining two obscure faves this time. Remember Bongo?

Young Diane Keaton by Peter Basch, 1968
My custom made funko pop of Kay Adams ❤️❤️❤️
Hi! So I saw you reblogged a very angry post about how Al treated Diane….what am I missing that I just don’t get?
I think that it’s dangerous to believe comments from “friends” that claim to speak for celebrities. If the words don’t come from Al, in this case, then we shouldn’t take them seriously. So I don’t get ripping him for claiming he regrets not marrying Diane
It seems to me they had a nice relationship, which was on and off, and then it ended. I don’t think we should infantilize Diane - she had as much control of their relationship as he did. He didn’t end up marrying anyone - nor did she. What am I missing here? I apologize for my questions, but I’m starting to get into Al as a newbie, and I’m puzzled
I did find it odd in his book - which I loved- that Diane is here one moment, then gone. He didn’t really speak about her all that much past a certain point, not even about the end of their relationship. But then he didn’t discuss how he met Beverly, either. My take is that he had no interest in kissing & telling, to his credit. I feel like maybe Diane might have been more in love with him than vice versa, but then again it feels like she talked a lot about him in her books
I thought his tribute to Diane was beautiful, and to criticize his mentioning himself seems odd because the point is that these tributes are personal.
Anyway, sorry to ramble, but I’m really curious to hear other perspectives
Thanks!
Yeah, I don't take "comments" from anyone but the actual person themselves and/or an authorized spokesperson for them, so it's a bit weird.
I don't deny Al probably has some regrets of some kind maybe when it comes to his relationship with Diane, but unless he opens up about that himself in specific, everything else is basically speculation.
I'm not surprised he didn't go too much into depth about Diane or even Beverly in his book because I agree with you about him not kissing and telling, and I also just don't think he cares to divulge that kind of personal, private information. I think in this day and age with celeb and scandal culture, we're so used to everyone exposing and telling us their deepest, darkest secrets and everything about their relationships ever, but definitely need to keep in mind that nobody is owed any of that info.
That's my perspective on all this :3
This man cheated and knocked up another woman while in a relationship with Diane - she might have found out after the definitive split - and yet he wrote a love letter in which he said how much he missed her and what they had. He even gave her a dog on The Godfather III set (guilty conscience?) and those aren’t some rumors started by friends, it came from their own mouths. It seems he didn’t really support her when her father was dying… In 2018 he claimed Diane was his great love in an authorized interview and yet in his book it was Kathleen Quinlan - whom he did describe in detail, lol. He allegedly saying he regretted not marrying Diane is actually the least problematic thing.
Let’s not infantilize Diane? Sure. Let’s not coddle womanizers either.

Diane Keaton would have turned 80 today…
It seems she felt she wouldn’t make it to 80… :(
