This is from a documentary called “The Color of Fear”. If you want to understand how people of color feel every fucking day, then watch this video. Especially when he starts yelling.
oh fuck this documentary
this part of it
required viewing
well this is great
vocals, bongos etc.
It's also silly how difficult it is to cull the number of blogs you follow, but what can you do?
I wish I had a river so long I would teach my feet to fly I wish I had a river I could skate away on I made my baby cry He tried hard to help me You know, he put me at ease And he loved me so naughty Made me weak in the knees Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on
Tried to do a bit of yoga, 'cuz, yknow, it's a Tuesday night.. this culminated in my repetition of "fuck you, bitch, fuck you", smothered by my own chest and attempting, futilely, to correct my frankly horrendous downward dog.
What's the point in being born with hypermobile joints if I can't contort myself like a circus performer? Esther Ekhart is laughing in my face.
In other news, I'm back down to glorious London Town tomorrow morning to tear apart a legal contract clause by clause (a month from today I will be kicking back in my managerial suite- aka basement office- so I have no viable escape from such engagements).
aaand I fully intend to absolutely destroy the rum which awaits me at home this weekend. Why might I have a bottle of booze knocking around when I am supposedly living in poverty? It's a product of my selfish greed, amigos, for I buy christmas presents and fail to bestow them. 'appy january, ninnyhammers.
Addition: Seeing as we're all friends here, I'm losing my eye lashes again and I can't sleep properly. Does anyone know what this means?
Manea.
Fascinating fact: New Guinea has over a thousand languages - 17% of the world’s total, spoken by just 0.1% of the world’s population.
Not sure how (I think) I've only just discovered Survivor but y'all need to follow this blog if you're not already.
In addition to Survival (http://www.survivalinternational.org/) being an organisation which is dedicated to a vitally important and quite under-reported issue (the protection and preservation of tribal people's land, security and culture)- as superficial as it may sound- they also produce some beautiful photographs and video clips (see above!).
There's also a vacancy listed on their site for a London-based volunteer which is painfully tempting.
I think you're lonely.
What about microphones? What if everyone swallowed them, and they played the sounds of our hearts through little speakers? ...When you skateboarded down the street at night you could hear everyone's heartbeat, and they could hear yours, sort of like sonar ...That would be so weird, except that the place in the hospital where babies are born would sound like a crystal chandelier in a houseboat, because the babies wouldn't have had time to match up their heartbeats yet. And at the finish line a the end of the New York City Marathon it would sound like war.
Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close, Jonathan Safran Foer.
(I'm reading this book too fast. I do not want to finish it.)
I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape. Something waits beneath it; the whole story doesn’t show.

Like a pirate with an adorable parrot.
I just screamed with joy
my absolute favourite moment of this show.
