The problem is that it seems like saying Jannik might have arrangements with the paps is automatically taken to mean that he isn't genuine/that he's trying to project a false image of himself/ that his relationship with Laila is fake, which isn't what's being implied at all.

It's perfectly normal for celebrities and famous couples to have arrangements with paparazzi so they can decide what gets photographed instead of having their privacy constantly invaded...The fact that he knows how to handle the paparazzi in a good way should be seen as a positive, it means he's intelligent. But sometimes I get the impression that some of his fans don't like that idea and want him to be kind of naive so they swing to the opposite extreme instead/don't want people to talk about the photos because they don't fit their narrative about their blorbo

Anyway the whole thing was just playing about Carlos (affectionately), because it's impossible to tell what exactly his team is trying to achieve with these nothingburger paparazzi shots they've been feeding us. Because so far the only thing they've confirmed is that he really loves going jet skiing with other men - just kidding!!!

It’s true that I’ve made different posts about sinneristas, but it’s the fandom I’m part of… which one else should I be talking about? And I’ve always made it clear that I was referring to specific people. I think I only made a more general post once, which, by the way, I intended as an invitation to reflect rather than an accusation. I think I’m allowed to say when I disagree with something I see, as long as I express it in the right way. Or do you think that’s not okay, anon?

the way some other fans of jannik don't acknowledge the papparazzi pictures I think it's very telling who mentions them and who doesn't (in helping to maintain their version of jannik in their brain)
