1. Her ringtone for Dalton is Goldfrapp’s Ooh La La. It was either that or something sentimental that speaks to his character, and she thought he’d appreciate this one more.

2. She once bet her car in a pool game with him, and watched him drive her Mustang around town for a week.

3. The only gift she’s really splurged on for him (besides bar tabs, and she likes to believe they alternate on picking up that one) was a small golden bulldog lapel pin.

4. She hates talking to him about politics. She’s genuinely passionate about some of the Republican ideals, and she hates how Dalton squanders the chance he has to make things better in the country they live in.

1. They matched on Tinder once. Freddie swiped right because Nick’s profile mentioned something about not spotting Uber fares for people he hooks up with. Aha, she thought. A true gentleman.

2. Her bandmates have a revolving array of dart boards decorated with people’s faces. It’s mostly pictures of bosses, Nicolas Cage, and bar patrons who don’t like their music. Freddie’s darts always end up missing the bulls-eye when they use the Nick board because goddamn, he’s kinda cute for old folks. It would be a shame to puncture that face.

3. She bought a Kermit plushie and left it on Nick’s usual table at his pub on his birthday. The note pinned to the back said “A Muppet for a muppet.”

4. After an unadvisably late night of drinking with Nick, she walked into a deposition the next day, hungover and talking (without realising it) with an English accent.
