The story my friend Lizzie came up with:

Me: "what is this?"

Lizzie: "Sooo there's this snake, right? and he really likes carrots."

Me: "what's the snakes name?"

Lizzie: "I don't know, hmmm . . . who is someone that would eat a lot of carrots? . . . I feel like a 'Henry' would eat a lot of carrots. . . "

Me: "well alright"

Lizzie: "Actually, Henry LOVES carrots! Unfortunately for him, there isn't any on the page, so he settles for a flower"

Me: "so why do the birds turn to stone?"

Lizzie: "they like carrots too"

Me: "well what about the squares and the swirlys in the corner?"

Lizzie: "IDK!?! They're just doodles!" *frustrated* "I'm just captain creative over here"

Lizzie's great and all, but I'm sure you can come up with something a little better. . . .THANKS LIZZIE.
