The Christmas market returns to Dun Laoghaire this festive period. It will run from every weekend and mondays’ until 23rd of December. The market will cater for all your families wants and needs, with vast collection of vendors selling authentic hand-made gifts and delicious treats.
Have you seen these Dublin landmarks transformed yet? Dublin City council have turned on their Winter Lights for this year 💖💡 Custom light shows will be projected onto several buildings around the city. Well wonder no more- ten of the most famous statues around the city have been brought to life with the Talking Statues project. All you need to do is download the Talking Statues app, scan the blue plaque beside the statue and wait for a phone call from some of Ireland’s most famous residents! One for the kids. The Moving Crib is back to Parnell Square for its 63rd year running. This historical Dublin landmark is sure to bring a smile to your loved ones faces.
Head down to the Guinness Store House from the 5th-15th of December. Live bands, Christmas markets and a pint of the good stuff. Entry fee is only €10 per person but you must be over 18 and be able to show ID.
Exciting Christmas Art Show in Dublin
For all Christmas Art Fans, there is a free Art Show running in South Dublin to get a taste of Dublin’s art culture and get into the Christmas spirit.
If you like cheese and love wine then this is the event to go to. The EatYard Winter Wine and Cheese Festival held in Swords costs €15 per person however you get a lot for it. Once inside, there are loads of pop up wine bars serving as many cheese related dishes as possible. What’s even better is you can get a masterclass in cheese and wine paring. The event is being ran all through December and is not one to miss.
