I do treat mine as collectibles depending on the plush (like my Eternal Flower Floette plushies or my Trainers plushies), but I really hate what scalpers, collectors (not the ones who do it for the love of the series, mind you), and investors have done to this franchise, man.

The cards were annoying enough. Don't set the barrier of entry on merch too high for kids, the franchise is mainly targeted for them. They should be allowed cards and plushies and whatever the hell else too.
