Not even sure exactly on what I should be doing with this tumblr page, but I figure Ill use it a little more to let you into my mind a little more. The difference between putting some thoughts on here vs writing them on twitter the words you say often are caught in the mix of a million other tweets flooding each person that follows' timeline.
I've been working hard on this music, as my close friends and acquaintances already know. All I do is work on these records and plot on the future. Not only have I been writing, but I have been working on production. The beats are gettin there, and I swear that shit make me more hype than I can describe to yall.
I have so many records in the pocket, some may never see the light of day, some I think y'all are going to love, either way, the process of having a studio in my bedroom, and working on music for the past 2+ years daily has been the best practice in the world. I have learned to read a little music, understand notes some theory, and develop these bars. The team is now more structured than ever.
I have only putting out a few songs and features in that span of time, but it is worth it. The music and the overall art is what matters first. Thats how it has always been, thats why I put out "Power In Attention" as my first song ever in 2010. I know its gonna take people a second to hear me just off the strength that they have more than likely never heard a rapper from NH, so their minds are often closed until the find out he is nice. First off, I am proud to be from NH, but a lot of people who havent been dont understand how many towns and cities there are in New England, and how they are set up. People drive spot to spot, the distance of Nashua to manchester/lowell is 15 min, lowell to lawrence 20 minutes, nashua to boston is 40, etc etc. I have two foreign parents who came from less than zero and are have worked hard yet are still trying to make it work. The squad is from all over as well, Free Reign is spread throughout the Northeast and even overseas. I know how much I have to offer the game. I have knowledge i want to spread that isnt in textbooks. i have beats ands sounds I want people to vibe/smoke/relate/dance/do everyday things to. I got some shit that can shift perspective, shit you can rewind, dissect, and implement into your day to day lists. Call me gassed i dont care. I know my shit is dead serious. I am dead serious.
Don't let anyone downplay your mission.
- Zig
PS: Ima be posting shit I like to listen to and watch here as well from now on when i think of it

Don’t be deceived when they tell you things are better now. Even if there’s no poverty to be seen because the poverty’s been hidden. Even if you ever got more wages and could afford to buy more of these new and useless goods which industries foist on you and even if it seems to you that you never had so much, that is only the slogan of those who still have much more than you. Don’t be taken in when they paternally pat you on the shoulder and say that there’s no inequality worth speaking of and no more reason to fight because if you believe them they will be completely in charge in their marble homes and granite banks from which they rob the people of the world under the pretense of bringing them culture. Watch out, for as soon as it pleases them they’ll send you out to protect their gold in wars whose weapons, rapidly developed by servile scientists, will become more and more deadly until they can with a flick of the finger tear a million of you to pieces.

Brief History Lesson After Ferguson
Don't like to get political typically, but I feel like there are certain things we should all know about this country. Firstly, know that I am sickened by the system. All I ask for is that police are treated like citizens when they murder a human in front of multiple other humans. I ask that said officer isn't placed on paid leave, but rather on trial. I ask that he is judged by the people, because his peers are the source of power & clearly have clouded judgement. Police are necessary, and they take on a dangerous job daily, that is clear. But at what point did they transform from public service to God-like figures? --choosing who lives and doesn't? This is from Emmitt Till to Trayvon Martin to Sean Bell to Amadou Diallo to Eric Gardner to Mike Brown and every other kid murdered with no news coverage. Dark skin is oppressed worldwide. It is clear the powers that be do not fuck with us. The system is in place. From being dragged to this country, building modern economy via cotton. To competing with Irish immigrants for jobs, to being bypassed by those same immigrants generations later due to skin tone. Blacks and Hispanics can never assimilate fully due to outward visual appearance. I use Irish as an example because they initially were treated like blacks. Americans said they were barbaric like Blacks, and their skulls resembled apes, like Blacks. Irish were enslaved in their own country before they came here [only owned 14% of Ireland by 1700], so the first generation related to Blacks and their struggles. Millions died in Ireland of HUNGER before their mass immigration. But as generations passed, they forgot, and so did many other ethnic groups, who adopted American racism just to fit in. They were able to move into elected offices and help their people move up in America. The same upward mobility was not accessible for Brown people, who were unable to blend in. To this day, there is only one Black senator per decade. There is no clean slate being brown. Your race becomes your definition. Do you consider what the media has instilled in your mind lately? Do you view a congregation of Black kids as dangerous because that is how you have seen us portrayed in movies? Or because you were actually just mugged by them while trying to go into a convenience store? My guess is you assume them to be dangerous, and that is because of the media. Public space is now seen as illegal. If your house is small, where else are you hanging out? Furthermore, each immigrant group had unique sets of struggles and all helped build America, but we Blacks have yet to gain true access to the fruits of America. Who owns these corporations [like realllllly owns them, less than ten I'm guessing]? Who really has the wealth? We don't own ANYTHING. Who runs these police departments? What has happened to Blacks in America since 1970? Desegregation, right? I mean my biracial parents are able to be married, yes. Seems like a good deal. Until you realize that there has been a 500% increase of Blacks in Prison in the US since 1970. That is the New Jim Crow. Even in northern cities in America, there were not huge Black populations until the 1920's during the great migration. Millions of Blacks moved to Northern cities such as NY, Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, etc. They showed up with nothing, hundreds of years behind financially and socially than their white counterparts in their new communities. Cities were structured in a way that the Blacks were literally living on top of eachother. Then white people left those areas. Along with Whites fleeing those areas, they brought their money and political support for those areas with them, leaving a system of fucked up areas in this country uncared for, because the people in power no longer have family there. Next time you think we live in a post-racial society, remind yourself you reside in "LaLa Land."
