Please do "you’re my best friends sibling and we “accidentally” made out when i slept over their house oops" from your prompt list with wolfstar. Thank you xo
Remus Lupin had never slept over at someone else’s house before. He had been very sickly as a child and subsequently homeschooled until high school. That’s when he met James Potter and they became fast friends. They were in a lot of the same classes and James really took care of Remus. He introduced him to his other friend, Peter, and the three of them spent a lot of their times together.
James had invited Remus over to hang out over the weekend. He was excited to spend time with James outside of school, it seemed like the mark of true friendship. Hid parents had been hesitant to let him because they constantly worried about him, but eventually they gave in.
Armed with a sleeping bag, a pillow and a rucksack with his clothes, Remus felt a nervous excitement as his mum drove him over to James’. He knew most kids had this moment a lot sooner in life, but Remus was going to enjoy it no matter what.
Remus arrived and James was already in the front yard, kicking around his football. Remus quickly moved to get out of the car but his mum rebuked him. “Remus, give me a hug before you go. I’m not going to see you for two days!”
Remus sighed and gave his mum a quick hug. “Bye mum!”
“Be safe,” his mum called out after him as Remus scurried over to James.
James smiled widely at him and pulled Remus into a half-hug, his arm around Remus’ shoulders. “Hey man! You made it!”
“I did!” Remus said, beaming back at his friend. There was just something about James that always made him feel comfortable and at ease. James liked him well enough that he didn’t need to try and impress him. He knew James wouldn’t abandon him for being a bit weird.
“Awesome, come on, you need to meet Sirius!” Jame said, leading him inside. Remus gave one final wave to his mum before she drove away and then went inside with his friend.
James quickly pointed out rooms to him: living room, kitchen, dinning room - before leading him upstairs. Remus had heard tell of Sirius before. James’ best friend and kind of brother who had been in France for the past two weeks. Something about his Uncle Alphard dying and Sirius being named the executor of his estate. Sirius had missed the first two weeks of school because of it and Remus had yet to meet him.
James pounded on the bathroom door. “Hey lazy arse, come on out and meet Remus!”
“In a minute!” a voice called back. The running water of the shower suddenly stopped and a moment later the door opened to reveal Sirius Black. Remus was certain he made a little yip of surprise because Sirius Black was beyond gorgeous. His black hair was sleek from the shower, his towel slung low on his hips, his firm body on display.
Remus swallowed around the lump in his throat and tried not to stare too obviously. He hadn’t confessed his preferences to James yet. In fact he hadn’t come out to anyone.
“HI, I’m Sirius,” he said, smiling kindly at Remus.
“Remus Lupin,” he answered, hoping his cheeks weren’t as red as they felt.
“James told me about you,” Sirius said, pulling his long hair up into a bun.
“Only good things I hope,” Remus said, laughing nervously.
“You’re cute,’ Sirius told him, looking Remus over. “He didn’t mention you were cute.”
“Oy! Lay off you prat,” James said, punching Sirius in the arm. “Remus doesn’t need you drooling over him all weekend like the dog you are.”
Sirius shot Remus a wink and then breezed past him, going to what Remus assumed was his bedroom. Remus felt like he could breathe a bit easier now that Sirius was gone. There was something intimidating about a person that good-looking.
James led Remus into his room where Remus would be sleeping. Remus rolled out his sleeping bag on the floor and sat down on it. James passed him the telly remote and let Remus pick what they watched. He was flipping through the channels when Sirius appeared in the doorway wearing a crop top and skinny jeans. Remus nearly dropped the remote at the sight of him.
“Really?” James said, raising an eyebrow.
“What?” Sirius answered innocently, batting his eyelashes. “There’s no harm in looking nice for our guest.”
Sirius walked over and flopped down onto James’ bed. “You are such a git,” James said, shaking his head.
“How come Remus gets to sleep in your room?” Sirius asked, pouting out his lower lip. “That doesn’t seem fair!”
“Because he’s my friend,” James responded, smacking Sirius with a pillow.
“He could be my friend too,” Sirius said, grinning at Remus.
“I’d like that,” Remus told him, absentmindedly playing with one of his curls.
“See?” Sirius said, sticking out his tongue at James. “I bet in a week he’ll like me better than you.”
“No way,” James said, shoving at Sirius. “Peter’s known you for years and he still likes me better.”
“Where is old Wormtail anyway?” Sirius asked, rolling over onto his back. “He couldn’t come for my welcome home get together?”
“It’s his mum’s birthday,” James informed him, tossing a small hackey-sack from hand to hand. “Couldn’t get away. He might come over tomorrow though.”
“Nice,” Sirius said, stealing the sack and throwing it up straight in the air and catching it before it landed. “Why are we watching Grand Designs?”
“Oh, um, I couldn’t really find anything,” Remus answered, passing over the remote. “You pick something.”
Sirius grinned at him and then began flipping through the channels.
Remus made it a point of never being alone with Sirius for the rest of the day. He kept close to James so he wouldn’t risk making a fool of himself in front of Sirius. He quickly learned that Sirius Black was very dramatic and Remus did his best not to get him going. James seemed to be used to Sirius’ theatrics.
They watched some telly and then played Xbox. Remus learned that he was unusually good at Call of Duty even though he’d never played it before.
Remus went down to the kitchen to get himself a glass of water. James had brought up nachos for a snack and all the salt had made Remus parched. He put a glass under the sink and watched it fill slowly, taking a moment for himself.
“Hey,” Sirius said from behind him, practically making Remus drop the glass.
“Oh, hi,” Remus said, feeling his cheeks warm. “I- uh - I meant to tell you sorry about your Uncle.”
“Thanks,” Sirius responded, shuffling in place a bit. “He was sick for a long time, so it’s good that he’s not suffering anymore.”
“It still sucks,” Remus said, biting his lip.
“Yeah,” Sirius agreed, grabbing his own glass from the cupboard. He placed it on the counter and then turned towards Remus with purpose. “Can I kiss you?”
“What?” Remus asked, blinking in surprise.
Sirius took a step towards Remus. “Please? I’m distraught.”
“Well, I, uh…if you think it would help,” Remus murmured, his stomach twisting nervously.
Sirius cupped Remus’ face in his hands and brought their lips together. Remus gasped slightly and tried not to be absolute rubbish. Considering he’d never kissed anyone before, he hoped he wasn’t too awful at it. He let Sirius take the lead and did his best not to bite his tongue as it slipped inside Remus’ mouth.
Sirius backed Remus up against the counter and Remus groaned loudly. It felt so good and Remus felt like he had really missed out for most of his life spent not kissing Sirius Black. He placed his hands on Sirius’ bare waist and tried to keep his body under control.
“For fuck’s sake,” James called out from the stairs. “I can’t leave you two alone for a minute!”
Remus pulled away and tried to look as innocent as he could. “S-sorry James.”
“It’s not you who should be sorry,” James responded, looking pointedly at Sirius.
“What?” Sirius shrugged. “You can’t bring someone this adorable home and expect me not to snog them.”
“I told you that Remus is off limits!” James yelled at his brother. “He’s part of the group now. You’re going to mess everything up.”
Sirius rolled his eyes. “I’m not going to mess up anything. Don’t be stupid.”
James scowled at him. “I know you’re feeling like shit because of your uncle, but you don’t get to use Remus as a way of coping.”
“I wasn’t - Jesus Christ, Jamie,” Sirius said, clearly offended. “So I’m not allowed to like anyone now just because someone died?”
“You just met him!” James snapped.
“So?” Sirius asked, putting his hands on his hips. “You’ve been talking about him for the past two weeks.”
“You’re impossible!” James shouted, throwing his hands up in the air.
“Hey James,” Remus spoke up, finally interrupting their row. “I appreciate you looking out for me, but I’m fine.”
Sirius grinned at him, clearly pleased with Remus taking his side. “See?”
James shook his head. “I give up. I’ll be in my room whenever you’re done with whatever this is.” He turned around and stomped back up the stairs.
“You don’t think he’s angry, do you?” Remus asked, not wanting to upset one of his only friends.
“Don’t worry about him,” Sirius said, pulling Remus in close. “He’s just jealous that I can land someone as hot as you when he can’t even get Evans to look twice at him.”
Remus frowned with worry and slid away from Sirius. “I should probably go check on him.”
Sirius reached out and grabbed Remus’ arm. “Don’t go, please,” he begged quietly. “I feel like shit and it’s nice to have something else to focus on.”
Remus debated for a moment and then nodded. “Look, I want to help you. But could you tell me now if that’s all this is? I don’t want to get my hopes up or anything.”
Sirius grinned. “You really think I’m going to be satisfied with kissing you just once?”
“I don’t know, are you?” Remus challenged, stepping in close to Sirius, his face just inches away. If Sirius wanted to kiss him again, he was going to have to come the rest of the way.
“Definitely not,” Sirius answered, closing the gap between them.
