hiii i’m super interested in the perseus metaphor actually, can we hear more?

Hiiii omg I'm glad you asked.

Basically: Knives as self-righteous hero Perseus, who is saving his damsel in distress Andromeda (Tesla in particular, and plants more broadly) from terrifying maiden-eating monster Cetus (humanity) with the help of a dangerous supernatural weapon, severed head of the Gorgon (Vash's angel cannon).

In relation to this particular piece below, I was also inspired by despictions of Medusa Gorgon as beautiful maiden instead of a hideous monster, and her death being a tragedy resulting in loss of autonomy - her severed head used as a weapon. I feel like it echoes with Vash's struggle against Knives, as Knives tries to undermine his brother's autonomy time and time again, and it is probably at its most prominent during Fifth Moon incident.
