With the signing of a new contract last week, Jacobs and Robert Duffy entered a different phase in their relationship with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, shaped to achieve a specific goal: to prepare the Marc Jacobs company for a public offering. All parties agree there’s work to be done, including expansion of product offerings. Jacobs doesn’t know exactly where that will lead, but he’s game for the challenge. “I don’t think that means giving in or losing your values or ideas,” he tells WWD. “It’s maintaining an open mind in order to go somewhere else.”  For the full interview
