Defending herself from what? She’s a very famous and well known artist, has some talent, yes–I’m sorry, was Miley Cyrus, a little Disney product, threatening her by making comments to tabloids? I didn’t realize that Mama Nicki was so weak, she couldn’t just shrug off a few comments in a magazine. If Nicki is so far above all of that, why would she make a scene on live television? She could have done it privately, or made a statement of her own, but she decided to try to play the ‘badass bitch’ role instead. Ooh, scary…Making that stupid face and saying ‘Miley, what’s good?’ Yeah, that’ll teach her! 

Also, let me guess–Miley is a racist because she had dreadlocks? She ‘appropriates black culture?’ Please. If Miley were out all the time, threatening to hang black people or saying ‘nigger’, that would be racist. She’s a kid. Nicki Minaj should have the class to brush that shit off. She’s trash because she displayed no class. Not to say that Miley had any either, but shit, it’s Hollywood. People shit on each other all the time. It’s not a race thing. But of course, it’s popular to make it all about race these days.

I have a feeling you have no idea why Nicki was angry so you just decided to add yourunneeded comment in the tags. Nicki Minaj was mad that MTV did not nominate a video to celebrate bigger black women’s sexuality for VOTY. If it were a white woman that had done it, they would’ve won it. Which happened: Taylor Swift. So no, Nicki Minaj shouldn’t had ignore her comment because she took out the importance from the context. She doesn’t need to do it in a private scene. She’s allowed to do it live, just like how Miley Cyrus went talking shit on the magazines. And so what if she was playing the Badass bitch role? She’s a badass bitch. You should’ve known that since you’re such a “Nicki fan.”. You really don’t know anything about black women when it comes to anger. “What’s good” was just a little taste of a real anger she was going to unleash before they turned her mic off.

Yes. Miley is a racist for wearing dreadlocks and she does appropriate the black culture. I find it disgusting for you to make it sound like it’s nothing. And she called Snoop Dogg m*mmy which is another black slur. She wiped her ass with the mexican flag and has done much more horrible things than just that. And are you even black to even type up the word? Oh, jeez…Is this really an important enough issue to type out this much? There are actual problems in the world–I just said that I’m not a fan of Nicki anymore since she acted like trash. She’s a celebrity. It’s whatever. There will always be catfights and shit, it’s not even newsworthy. So what if MTV didn’t nominate a video that celebrated a bigger black woman’s sexuality? They don’t have to nominate shit. They aren’t under oath to represent every race or body type at their awards show. And it’s a music award–how much does it matter? I’m not a fan of Taylor Swift either, but she probably won because she’s incredibly popular across genres. 

I make it sound like nothing because it is nothing. 

I couldn’t name a Miley Cyrus song if my life depended on it. I think that all artists are pretty much trash–they put their opinion where it isn’t needed and they take news away from actual things that need to be reported. Miley is trashy. Nicki is trashy. Really? If it were a white woman, I’d defend her? WRONG. Don’t bring your personal issues on stage at an award show. Accept your award, give a thank you speech, and get off the fucking stage. 

The only ones making a big fuss about representation in MUSIC VIDEOS and AWARD SHOWS are people who have nothing bigger to worry about. It’s music. It’s a product to be sold. People in third world countries would probably vomit up the one meal they’ve had this week if they saw what ‘issues’ we were arguing about.

If it were not so important, why tag your unpopular opinion then? It’s important for all black women because representation matters. Something that you seem to know little about it. And nah, Taylor Swift won because she is over-rated. This isn’t about nothing. This is about, not only equality, but justice. But I guess that’s not important to you.

Nah, I rather address an issue live on stage then to do it privately because the issue started, in fact, live. You’re just not in Nicki’s shoes to understand the frustration she went through for having people taking away the important subject from a situation.

Like I said, music videos or award shows, it’s all about representations. Everyday, we always talk about the things that go on around the world. Talking about this situation is not going to kill you. We cannot ignore the racism that is within those award shows because one decision can affect so many underground black artists that are trying to do the thing they love for a living.

But yeah. You’re done only because I am right and you just wished you hadn’t tag your unpopular opinion in the Nicki tags without having someone coming at you with facts.

I’m going to be honest here: Both Miley and Nicki are attention seekers and this whole thing was probably scripted. I doubt Nicki was trying to raise awareness for anything; it sounds like it was a well-calculated P.R move.

Her bringing racism into it just brings more attention to the “feud”. I have a feeling she was milking off of the recent events of racial tensions because that’s what people are paying attention to right now. More attention means publicity for all. 

Even if it wasn’t, I think it was childish of Nicki Minaj to call out Miley like that. People just defend her because she’s black. (Did nobody see Miley’s interview? She wasn’t even insulting Nicki Minaj.) 

Plus why is everyone acting like Nicki Minaj isn’t winning anything? She’s literally been nominated for Billboard Awards, the Grammys, People’s choice awards,and Teen choice awards. She won best collaboration for iHeartRadio. She was nominated and won best hip-hop video for MTV awards. She’s gotten a lot of recogniton for an artist that’s been in the spotlight for ~5 years.. I don’t know where you’ve been, but plenty of black artists have been nominated/won and celebrated in music award shows for years. 

On a personal standpoint, Anaconda and Wrecking ball were shit songs and a lot of people would agree. 

You literally can’t point out a wrongdoing from a black artist without being called a coon.
