Isack knew how stupid he looked right now, with the shower cap on his head and his RedBull team kit under a suit jacket way too big for him, but that’s what made this fun. He would never see these people again, sure they might see him on the big screen in the future, but at that point, who cares?
A middle aged couple had walked up to the front desk wanting to check into the hotel, but of course, he had to show them the star of the show first.
“Do you know this guy?” He asked, pointing to a life size cut out of the Max Verstappen.
"No," the woman laughed, "but he looks familiar.”
“Yeah he’s a Formula One driver,” Isack giggled to himself. “He’s okay, he races for RedBull. But his teammate is his main guy.”
Isack was too busy looking at cardboard Max Verstappen to notice a girl his age meeting up with the couple, your parents.
He continued, “zero world championships. Zero”
“Oh really?” A new voice had come up, challenging Isack.
Over Isack’s ear piece, Max smirked and said, “so next thing she says, you start like really randomly laughing, like really loud.”
“He’s not that good” Isack doubled down.
“Four world championships say otherwise, Hadjar,” a smile creeped up to your face.
Realization hit him fast. You knew who Max was, but more importantly and way worse, you knew who he was.
Max’s voice echoed in the ear piece, “laugh.”
Isack did the only thing he could really do at the moment, laugh as hard as he could, half for the video and half for the embarrassment he was still standing in front of.
“This was a lot easier when no one knew who I was,” He murmured to himself.
Your parents had finally finished checking into the hotel, so with a final glance, you said “Good luck in Barcelona” and followed your parents to the elevator.
“You’re staring” Max was laughing at the poor boy.
Isack’s face had gone red, “shut up”
The video had gone live after Barcelona. Isack had been so caught up with the whirlwinds that always came with a Grand Prix weekend that he’d completely forgotten just how embarrassing that video was for him, but he did remember just how pretty you were.
When you saw the YouTube notification, your heart dropped. You had suspected that Isack wasn’t just making a fool out of himself for no reason, but actually seeing it was different. Thankfully, in the video it seemed like you were able to keep your cool because in reality, you were freaking out.
Before the video even finished, your phone started ringing.
“Did you see the video?” Zia screamed at you.
You had to hold your phone away from your ear from the sheer volume Zia had. “Hello to you too,” you laughed.
“Yeah yeah, hi Y/n,” She sighed. “But did you see the video?”
“Which one?” You knew exactly which one she was talking about, she was the reason you got into Formula 1 which meant her obsession was way worse than your and that she always saw everything first.
“Don’t play dumb with me,” Zia laughed at you “THE ONE YOU’RE IN!”
“I haven’t finished it yet”
“So you didn’t see Isack’s story?” She asked, amused.
"You know…" Zia started slowly, "the one where Isack said that he had to find you?”
You immediately looked up Isack’s Instagram, but was left disappointed. “I don’t see it? It says that the story is unavailable”
“What?” Zia was now double checking to make sure she wasn’t imagining things. “No way bro deleted it, believe me, it was there.”
It had been a couple days since the video was posted, fans had almost nothing to go off of besides your hair color and what your parents looked like. The whole time you were in the frame, your back was turned. It wasn't a complete surprise that they had gotten nowhere.
“Y/n!” You heard your mom scream from the living room.
“This can’t be good,” you thought before you got up from bed and headed downstairs.
“I just got an interesting email,” your mom paused, looking at you up and down. “From RedBull.”
“About the video they filmed at the Hard Rock Hotel,” a smirk was plastered on your mom’s face.
“When we finished checking in,” she cut you off. “They had me sign a consent form to be in the video, but you were too busy making heart eyes at the guy with the shower cap.”
“MOM,” you were now covering your face with your hands.
You sighed. Arguing with your mom about this would get nowhere. She was right, after all. “What did the email say?”
“Not much, it didn’t seem too professional.”
“Huh?” What did that even mean?
“Did ask about you though.”
With that, you sat almost on top of your mom and took the phone right from her hands, “CAN I SEE IT?”

When you finished reading the email, you were confused. Why would Redbull want to contact you? It didn’t really make sense, you were in the video for maybe a minute. That wasn’t enough screentime for anyone to make a difference.
Your mom laughed, “I don’t think he meant to sign it himself.”
After rereading the email over and over again, you finally looked at who signed it at the end, it was Isack himself. “Did you reply?”
“I was waiting for you to tell me it was okay”
“He really stole the admin’s email to send that,” you said that more to yourself than to your mom.
“He seems determined,” she took back her phone and started to reply to RedBull’s “admin.”
“The blush on your face says I can give them your number?” Your mom asked, but she already knew the answer.
