Happy First Annual Emotober!
Emotober (”Emotional October”) is a month long event/creative challenge. The prompts are all in the genres of hurt/comfort, hurt/no comfort, angst, little bit of fluff (to soothe the soul), etc.
At the end of the post is a more accessible list of the prompts.
1. Please choose one (or both, if you’re feeling really creative) of the prompts. If you don’t like either of the prompts, feel free to use an alternative prompt or a prompt from a different day!
2. Open to all - All fandoms and ships are welcome.
3. No hate or ship bashing - Please be respectful of each other.
4. Use tags - Make sure to tag triggers, ratings, ships, n/sfw, ….
Do I have to participate every day?
Nope! If you are only able to or want to participate on certain days, that is totally okay.
What is the word count limit?
There is no word count limit so feel free to write as much as you want.
Is this only for writers?
Nope! Artists and other creators are more than welcome to participate. This event is open to everyone.
What if I don’t like a prompt?
If you don’t like a prompt on a day, feel free to jump around and choose a different prompt. The list is more of just a guideline made to be broken, as opposed to strict instructions.
I have an idea for a prompt. Can I send it in?
Yes, absolutely please send it in. We are accepting prompts for next year (2022) until September 2022. Please send in any prompt ideas/any other things about the event that you have. We will be making a poll before next year’s event so the community can vote on the 2022 prompts.
