Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. Thank you for your art and your work, it made a huge difference to little middle school me. I will love this silly show until the end and there are no words properly express how grateful I am. Regardless of the good things and bad things about Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and others, you gave joy to a sad, lonely kid and made them laugh when no one else could. It is not an exaggeration when I say I would not be here without it, as dramatic as that sounds.

You will be dearly missed and remembered fondly by those you loved and those who loved you. Thank you

I watched Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z many years ago, and I'm starting to regain interest in the series again. Since one of my hobbies is documenting anime "fandoms" from the 1980s-1990s, I checked Suruga-Ya's archives to see what I could find in terms of doujinshis. I was very surprised to find one circle who primarily focused on the Ginyu Force!! I didn't realize they were so popular... they were featured quite a bit in a DBZ doujinshi I scanned months ago, though. (pictured below)

With that being said, I hope to (someday) find an OG Dragon Ball doujinshi. I'm talking EARLY Dragon Ball. Knowing what I do know, I think it's possible that one exists. However, a lot of early doujinshis are poorly documented, and you only discover them through random Suruga-Ya/Yahoo Japan Auctions listings, lol.

HumanAU Cooler’s ARMOURED SQUADRON!!! ♪ ♪ ♪

By day, they’re an Investigation Bureau unwillingly working under Frieza’s real-estate business. But, by night, they’re an underground metal band! (Yes coming from the pun ‘Metal Cooler)

Salza does like Cooler and it shows, but couldn’t muster up the courage to say it out loud! Does Cooler know it? Who knows,maybe? :3c

Since Cooler has a talent for playing the guitar and a LOT OF pent up frustration from being done dirty by his family, he started a band outside his family’s knowledge. He can shred and scream(he’s good at it too) all he wants, full on going wild! Anybody familiar with Aggretsuko?

Plot-Related: During Cooler’s gigs, he has a part where almost every stage light turn off, and Cooler performs a sick ass solo and he turns into this large lizard-like creature and his other band mates turns into inhuman colours…the audience is convinced it was a well-made stage effect but it looks frighteningly real…but when the light turn back on, they go back to normal!

YAMCHA in the Human AU! Professional Baseball player, representing the Taitans!

Unfortunately, his baseball team is not doing so well. Bankruptcy is at their front door after racking up large amounts of debt. Loan sharks aren’t stoked about it either, so his time is running out.

All of this money talk is seriously stressing him out, so he goes to the local park to let off some steam and maybe squeeze in a bit of training. That’s when he met this kid, Kuriza. This kid is like a breath of fresh air, eager to learn and just having fun in baseball, it’s just the right motivation Yamcha needed to keep trying and save his baseball career, he’ll keep searching! Yamcha even gave Kuriza his glove, a small gift to say thanks. Little does Yamcha know, a small act of kindness can go a longgg way…

Stay tuned for continuation! A certain ‘Papa’ would come in and save him. Also I am back because I want to🧍‍♀️
