tessa and scott have been skating together since 1997. they are two-time olympic champions (2010, 2018) and olympic silver medalists (2014) for the ice dance events and have won gold (2018) and silver (2014) for the team event, making them the most decorated olympic figure skaters of all time. pyeongchang 2018âČs moulin rouge is the final skate they perform on competitive ice.

youâve never been underweight
you are weight restored
you are at a ânormalâ weight

you do not use the behaviors most commonly associated with eds
you do not have âfear foodsâ
you donât like oatmeal or those foods people are always taking pics of
you like food and are fine owning that
you hate working out or dont work outÂ
youâve never restricted/binged/purged
youâve never been through anything that you feel validates your edÂ
you dont have any ed horror storiesÂ
you feel like your ed isnt as serious as someone elseâs
you dont feel sick enough
your loved ones do not know
your loved ones do not believe you
your loved ones are not helping you get the help you need
your struggle looks different than the ones portrayed by the media
you are triggered by different things than most
you are not triggered by others
your recovery isnât proving to be as difficult as its portrayed
your recovery is going âquicklyâ your recovery is going smoothly
you are progressing in your recovery
you dont want to recover
you consciously developed your ed
you are not actively using behaviors today/now/anymore

Itâs important that you keep your feelings and your self worth in different places because when feelings get hurt it shouldnât change how you view yourself.
I came out as trans to my uncle, and he wrote the loveliest response:
âThank you for coming out to us! It is a joyful occasion to share being yourself with your family. The consciousness that resides in each of us is without gender, but gender and bodies are trappings that we put on, and it is important that you are comfortable in them. Much like a decent pair of pants.â
This is so beautiful and profound and thenâŠ..that last line.
