Naveen comes from a very wealthy family, his mother being from one of the wealthiest families in Spain and his father one of the honest wealthy families from Puerto Rico. So from the time he was born, he was always given exactly what he wanted regardless of what it was. His family was so wealthy that were able to afford servants to do all of the cleaning and any other chores most kids growing up were responsible for. Because of this, the boy grew up to be very spoiled (especially since he was an only child for a big chunk of his youth before little brother Ralphie came along). His parents held very powerful positions in their careers which meant there were always huge social events to attend and lots of attention cast on the young boy. And all of the attention he got, led him to become quite vain and self-confident.
As he grew older, he slacked off in school and was considered very lazy by all of his teachers. Naveen focused on things such as music and chasing girls around. All the attention from his early years had made him a very charismatic and smooth talking young man. Those traits plus his money and status allowed him to get any girl he wanted, providing him with yet another thing he didn’t need to work for. And while Naveen has a very romantic side to him, he is not one to settle down easily, so he often does not use it wisely, opting for quick flings over anything else as he prefers to live in the moment.
Once Naveen got out of high school, he continued to live off his parents wealth until they got sick of it and cut him off. They did, however tell him that they would pay for schooling, and so, the spoilt and unwilling male was shipped off to New Orleans to study abroad. When Naveen got into quite a bit of trouble in America, his parents pulled him from the college he was attending there, having him transferred to Avenir, where he is expected to behave and study well, to earn a living of his own in the future.
Despite what he says, Naveen is actually quite disappointed in himself for not knowing how to do most things for himself.
