#personal post #i'm almost at 2 months of brushing my teeth almost every day!#it's been so hard because the dentist told me to use gum health toothpaste...so it's this really harsh mint flavor #that burns my mouth :(#but i've been trying to stick to it #make a habit of brushing my teeth when i get up at 5 am to use the bathroom #because my bladder is so weak

fb video of a person whose (presumably outdoor) cat drastically injured a frog, and the person decided to try and "rehab" the frog, with absolutely no initial knowledge of how to take care of frogs...

and people in the comments are complaining about other people in the comments being like "You should have just humanely euthanized the frog" by saying "Isn't rehabing any living animal a great thing?"

Your cat, who you couldn't be assed to keep indoors and away from injuring wildlife in the first place, has probably permanently injured that frog, if not given it a very slow and painful death. And your solution was to continuously handle the frog, probably stressing it the fuck out, and then kidnap it from its natural habitat, to be in your apartment, CONSTANTLY IN VIEW OF THE CAT?

I love frogs. I would absolutely be devastated if I found out I was the cause of ones injury and death. I would still recognize that, unless I can find a local wildlife rehab to take it in and try to help it, that the best thing I could do was euthanize it and put it out of its misery.

But it was an awful time for both us (constant fear of her not coming home)#and the local wildlife (she would constantly bring back ''presents'')#people need to understand that when it comes to nature sometimes Death is the best option for something that's injured #the frog in question was seemingly paralyzed and unable to move its legs in particular #but did supposedly eat #idk... the urge to rehab a wild animal is nice but maybe you should know how to rehab an animal before you just Decide To #that poor frog... she was moving it around constantly and i knowwww her ass was not washing her hands #probably had her cats germs all over them and then touching the frog
