After a lot of thought and discussion on my part, Selena's part, and many of the members who were in the AIM chat parts we have decided to do a Frostbite 2.0.

There were many things and characters that we didn't want to let go of part one of this roleplay, but six months into the roleplay it felt as though things had come to an end between the hunters and all the character deaths.

So, we have decided to reboot part one, but add a twist. Instead of being purely a werewolf rp we will be adding other supernatural creatures into the mix in Frostbite 2.0. But these supernatural creatures will not be the cliches of supernatural rps like vampires, faeries, sirens, etc. Instead we will be diving into mythology and digging up unique and not often seen supernatural creatures. These creatures will include: banshees, shades, norns, nymphs, and very possibly elementals. Emissaries will still be apart of the roleplay and perhaps spirit walkers who are connect to the souls of the living.

To follow us as we edit and reboot Frostbite please follow the new page page here. There is no opening date set so far as we set things up, create new pages and lore/information pages, write new characters.

However, if you are/were a member of this roleplay and would like to bring your character into Frostbite 2.0 please message us at the NEW main (not this one) so we make sure your character is posted and you are able to continue to roleplay as them.

So without further ado this Frostbite is officially closed and the new Frostbite is currently in the works so please follow us at our new page! Thank you. :)

Super important update.

I know this may seem a little abrupt to some of you - but believe me when I say this is something that has been in the back of my mind for a few weeks now. Some of you know what is going on with my family, some others don't. Regardless there are many reason why we are putting Frostbite on hiatus.

While typically a lot of roleplays don't come back from hiatuses, I assure you we will. I've just lost my muse for this roleplay and it's been happening slowly due to many, many things. And Selena has been having her own muse issues as well. Neither of us are comfortable handing the roleplay over to anyone else so that means this roleplay is not going to be updated, adding new characters, updating pages, updating anything really, accepting new members, and so on.

Perhaps in a month or a couple months we'll revamp and bring things back to life. But in the mean time members you are free to continue roleplaying with each other. You have no need to run plots by us, to worry about activity. The only thing that will be different is that Selena and I won't be modding for a while.

When we do bring Frostbite back to life -- we'll be starting over. So whatever you do from here on out will not be canon when this roleplay is revamped. Please keep that in mind as you go forward.

If you have any questions, please, please feel free to come to Selena and I directly or message us on here. We are deeply sorry to members and our followers alike, we hope you can be understanding during this hiatus and remember that we love you all dearly and deeply.

Twenty-five years old, lone wolf, and is closed ❄

Background:

She was brought up by two loving mothers - appropriately called mommy and momma. Gabriella lived happy and well for nearly six years until everything changed - momma's father was never happy with momma having a relationship with a woman, which is why she never told him about Gabbie, but once he found out that he swiftly took Gabbie away from her parents. After that day she grew to completely hate everything about men - after meeting her grandfather, everything about men seemed to disgust her. She didn't understand how he could have ripped her away from two loving mothers just because he didn't approve and she slowly began to think that all men were like that.

The only thing that didn't stop her from going completely cray were the few letters she received from her parents every few weeks. She had to ask a girl at school to help her do this, since her grandfather would have never allowed it, but it was the small light in her life. That light grew larger one Spring when she shifted back - but her grandfather never did. Filled with happiness at the fact she packed her things, stole her grandfather's money and hopped a bus back to Michigan. The reunion was loud, full of tears, and slightly obnoxious. When Gabbie turned thirteen the family moved to Florence, where her momma and her fought their way into Wolfus (her mommy was a human). They thought the move would help Gabbie and her attitude, but it didn't really. After receiving one too many calls from the school about Gabbie's grades, her parents pulled her out and homeschooled her. A year later and she was put back into public school; her grades were much better but her social skills only got worse.

After she graduated high school, her mommy told her that she should think about joining a sorority, if only to help her social skills. She hated the idea at first but soon grew interested and joined Phi Kappa Delta in Salem, Oregon, but she was kicked out of the sorority after two months for punching two members and breaking her English professor's hand. It's been a while since she's been back to public school, but before the hunters arrived in Florence she had been working as a hostess at The Dinner Place in order to pay for online classes. After the hunters came, she and her family fled to Portland with the Lux pack.

She's not as willing to immigrate herself into the new pack as her former Wolfus siblings, but her momma said the idea might not be so bad. She's not ready to kiss and hug every member of Lux, but again, she's slowly warming up to the idea. She's planning on getting another job soon to pay for her online classes and one day hopes to get back to college to major in Photography.

Personality:

Gabbie isn't really the kind of girl you can walk up to and be best friends with. She has her guard on full-time and she's not a very friend girl. Though, when she does make a few friends she prefers the company of females to men. She's a full blown misandrist and will gladly tell everyone that fact; she hates men. She hates them and she cannot stand them. Make her angry and a fight with her will usually end up with either herself or her opponent very hurt. The only people who ever see the soft side are her momma and mommy. She was beginning to warm up to her pack, Wolfus, but now that they've dispersed and either become lone wolves or joined Lux, she's not so sure anymore.

Twenty years old, human, and is open ❄

Background:

Born a Koren-American to a low-class family, Hwan was given up to foster care when she was only one year old. The only condition her bio parents had was that she must keep her full name: Hwan Yaseong. The amount of racism she went through as a baby alone was actually outstanding: nobody wanted the baby with the "funny eyes", but a few weeks before the eve of her second birthday, Hwan caught the eyes of a wealthy family who had everything they ever wanted - except the ability to have a child. After a few moments of interaction with her they immediately fell in love. They had no problems with keeping her name - they thought it was unique. The adoption process was long and tedious - it almost took two years before they were able to bring her home, but they visited her every day. She finally went home with the Morgan's when she was almost five.

Although wealthy, they did their best not to spoil their daughter. Hwan had to work for everything she had as a child - if she wanted money, she had to earn it. If she wanted to go out with her friends, she had to do chores first. It was a simple way to prevent her from growing up as a spoiled little girl, but they did dote on her from time to time. As she got older, Hwan became more and more curious about her Korean heritage, but she was still torn down through racism. Kids pulling on their eyes, calling her names, it all affected Hwan. Once excited about discovering who she was, she pulled it all back. She wanted to be American-looking. She wanted to be Americanized. Her parents did everything they could to try and bring Hwan back up from her funk, but the damage was done and she didn't want anything to do with being Korean. After a while Hwan gave up on trying to Americanize herself completely - and after years and years of being bullied, she finally came to accepting herself after she joined her high school show choir.

Being in such a positive environment really made it easier to ignore the bulling and, after the kids realized that they weren't bothering her anymore, they stopped bullying her altogether. After that, she threw herself into music. Singing was her favourite past time - she tried out for almost all of the solos in show choir, she attempted to get the lead in every musical and she took private voice lessons. After a while the short raven-haired girl became known for having the most incredible voice anyone had ever heard.

After high school she decided that there wasn't anything else she wanted to do with her life other than sing, so she started a YouTube channel (which has slowly grown to 500,000 thousand subscribers) and got a job at one of Portland's many music stores; Grooves. She hasn't been able to pull a "Justin Bieber" yet, but she's confident she'll make it one day. That, or she'll stay at Grooves for the rest of her life, but she doesn't mind that - Grooves is her second home.

Personality:

Hwan is a bright and bubbly girl, grown strong after years of being put down. She's not one to take an insult lightly anymore - instead of running and hiding she stands her ground and tells you her own argument as to why she's worth it as a person. Hwan, her interest in Korean culture peaking up again, secretly uses Grooves' computers to look up all things Korean. She somehow still feels ashamed of actually wanting to know about it - she might be stronger, but those words of doubt still cross her mind every now and again. She's a very loyal friend but the moment you betray her trust that's it - you're done, you simply can't repair it.

Sixty-nine years old, human, and is open ❄

Background:

They weren't really poor, but Marcus had had it put into his mind from a young age that if he didn't get a scholarship to college, then he probably wouldn't be able to go to one. His family could pay the bills, put food on the table with a little bit left over for some new shoes, but there was no way they'd be able to put their child through college. At least, not on their own. With that in mind, Marcus worked hard to make sure he got there. He wasn't naturally smart and had to work very hard to keep his grades, but everything worked out when he turned eighteen and was offered not one, not two, not even three, but five scholarships from five different schools. His parents were overjoyed.

He might have gotten into college under scholarships, but he still had bills to pay, and there were many jobs a college student could get in Portland for a decent wage, but for Marcus he had had his eyes on a small little store just outside of the City Limits: The Last Note. It was a small record store that was on the brink of falling apart, but the customers were loyal and the atmosphere was something Marcus loved. Over the next few years Marcus had switched up his degree and majored in business. He never knew that music could be something to get so passionate about, but there he was learning new songs, meeting new people, and helping his family with a small part of his paycheck.

So it was no surprise to anyone when Marcus decided to try and own his own music business; he had fallen in love with everything about The Last Note, and Beavis offered to help Marcus get his store off the ground. His parents managed to offer a few extra dollars to help him get a lease, and though it wasn't much, Marcus was very appreciative and promised to pay them back - whether or not Grooves (what he decided to name it) got popular or not. But - to the pleasant surprise of everyone, including Beavis, Grooves managed to become an "it" spot almost immediately. People were drawn to the friendly atmosphere, employees, and design, really, and after a while Marcus was able to sign a lease for a bigger building, which is where Grooves has stood for nearly thirty years now.

He eventually got married to his long time girlfriend, Richelle, and started a family together he turned thirty. His daughter and son are thirty-nine now, both with children of their own. He's extremely happy to be a grandfather and looks forward to seeing his grandkids at every chance he gets.

Personality:

Being clever was definitely something Marcus had to learn over the years - he wasn't born a genius so of course he has his moments where he struggles with things, but after almost seventy years of life he's almost confident that he'll be able to answer your question with no problems whatsoever. A family man at heart, Marcus is wonderful with kids and, in his younger age, offered to let kids stay at his store whenever their parents were busy. He wishes he still had the stamina to do it, but age is slowly starting to catch up with him. He knows he should probably retire soon, but Grooves is his baby and although he likes Everett and Hwan, he's not sure he'd be able to hand the store over to them one day.

IMPORTANT: Members please read and like once you've read this.

The past month or so of this roleplay I've had feelings of my own about how things have been going. But because no one had seemed upset except for myself about things, I let them go. Now however, there are several people that aren't mad but they aren't exactly 100% happy with how things are either.

First order of business: Shipping.

Now, some people don't necessary care about ships, rather they focus on character development and focus on their character rather than who they're character is with. That is perfectly okay. But on the flip side of that there are people who enjoy shipping and having the ship develop their characters or hell just enjoy to ship.

Neither way is wrong.

We have to respect each other's roleplaying styles. Because there are different styles, different ways to enjoy roleplaying. People enjoy different things. And there's a good handful of us here so it was bound to happen really.

That being said, if you take a ship breaking up personally and take those feelings out via the ooc and/or at other players: that is not okay. And you will only get one warning on that before being removed from the roleplay. That is a negativity that I will not allow here. On the flip side of that, making someone or people feel guilty for enjoying a ship is not okay either. And the same thing about getting one warning applies to this as well.

Some issues that have been bothering me lately are: bubble roleplaying, activity, making characters and then hardly using them after a couple weeks, and not communicating with/respecting myself. I'll start with the bubble roleplaying first.

For those who don't know what that means, it means roleplaying with the same person or people and hardly interacting outside a certain group of characters. That will not be tolerated here. Ever. At some point all of us have been guilty of it, some more than others. And those who do it more often will be talked to separately later tonight.

Now onto the activity portion of my issues. I understand life gets in the way believe me. I understand school is happening soon or has happened already. That's okay. What is not okay is to sit in the AIM group chat, clearly able to be online, talk about our characters, but not make any posts to move the dash. We haven't really had that issues since part two started, but at the end of part one it felt like pulling teeth to get anyone to post on the dash. That bothered me on many levels, but I wasn't sure what to do about it. As much as I love the AIM group chat, if the same thing that happened in part one happens in part two I will ask it to be deleted and we move back to chatting in the ooc blog.

Another thing I've noticed over the past couple months are people making/picking characters in the spur of the moment and then doing nothing with them. (I am guilty of this as well.) I'm really not sure what to say about this except please lets try to stop doing it. From now on no matter how long you've been a member or not, if one of your characters goes inactive for a week without talking to me about putting them on hiatus I will request you thinking about dropping a character. There's nothing I hate more than when a character just sits there and is hardly used except for when a certain character character is on the dash. If you say you'll try to get on the character more but over the course of the following week you don't make more than ten posts they will be re-opened.

And finally the last issues. Not communicating with or respecting me. Mostly it's the first one vs the whole respect thing. I'm going to quote the rules right now:

"Plots need to be run by us. Most of them don’t really need our approval, but as of late there have been a lot of subplots going on and while we love it and are excited - we also like to know what’s going on in this roleplay. Major plots like: kidnapping, character death (includes npcs), leaving town, suicide, drug use, crime, revealing the existence of werewolves to humans, etc must be approved by the both of us before any of those plots can actually move forward. If you fail to do this three times, you will be removed from the roleplay. "

I think a lot of you, mostly older members have forgotten about that. I will not name names here, but I can definitely think of a few of you off the top of my head that seem to constantly forget to run things by us or me. Running it by just Selena is not acceptable. Running it by just me is not acceptable either. Telling us things in the AIM group chat is not okay. WE WANT AN ACTUAL MESSAGE IN THE ASK BOX SO WE'RE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE. I am serious about the three strikes and you're out rule about this. I think you've all just gotten really comfortable in this roleplay and while I am so, so happy about that I also think you guys just think I'm going to be okay with things because we're all friends. And that is when I feel like respect for me as an admin (not as a person) starts to fade and disappear.

Background:

For as long as anyone could remember, Jackson Kasberg has always been a loner, preferring the company of his guitar over the company of others. Never staying too long in on place, Jackson's band was almost always in high demand and seeing him live was said to be a real treat. As might be expected of a loner, no one ever expected Jackson to settle down and fall in love, but that all changed when he met Veronica, a groupie with a backstage pass and a strange idea of adventure.

Right off the bat she told him that she had a baby son and, surprisingly, he accepted the child as his own. Owen then grew up with a set of two loving parents who introduced him to the world of music. Equipped with ear protection, Owen was almost always at his father's shows. While his father jammed out with an axe, Owen opted for a more peaceful instrument; the violin. From a young age he was called a prodigy, the press saying that it was meant to be since his father was a famous guitar player. Mixing their music together, Owen and Jackson made songs for YouTube which quickly brought Owen into his very own spotlight.

Getting the attention never changed him - Owen has always remained a quiet and thoughtful boy. If anything, the attention has only made him a little more cautious and wary about the world. Placed under the scrutiny of the public, Owen has done his best to try and not offend people with his twitter or Facebook comments. However, just like his father had, Owen has gained a reputation for not wanting to settle down into a relationship. In reality, he's afraid that someone will be wanting to use him in order to get to his father or their own fifteen minutes of fame.

It was just a year ago that Owen's mother, Veronica, passed away suddenly due to an aneurism. He's quit making music and devoted his time to trying and keep a sense of normality around the house. His father hasn't been the same since she died and Owen is doing his best to push down his grief in order to care for his father

Personality:

The perfect stereotype of a quiet artist, Owen doesn't really like to talk much. He'd prefer to spend his time making music, but since the death of his mother he has tried to branch out more. After all, his father is already moping most of the time, so Owen figures it's his responsibility to a) stay happy for him and b) stay normal. True to his reputation, Owen is far from interested in dating right now - he's turned down so many people over the past year that it's starting to get ridiculous, but he only wants people to respect that he's just not ready to date. Is that so hard to ask?

Well, whenever you open for OCs (if you ever do, again), my friends and I were thinking of trying out for hunter triplets.

We are no longer accepting OCs here, rather we have Custom Characters now. But hunters are no longer in this roleplay. The ones from part one who have come into part two gave up their hunter ways and are simply either human or in Dianne’s case a werewolf now. Sorry!

Would you guys possibly accept triplets?

Twenty-seven years old, Emissary to the Lux pack, and is open ❄

Background:

Born and raised in Ireland, Fallon Vincent was a vibrant girl as she grew up in the Irish countryside. Born to parents who had tried for years to have a child, she was their miracle. Cherish, Fallon was taught to love all life. And as a little girl she stuck to those lessons her parents taught her to a tee. But as she grew into a teenager and interacted with kids outside her family, she was shown a whole new side to life. For a couple of years, Fallon struggled with her family's values and the values of her peers. Eventually though, Fallon found a happy medium between the two. While her parents hated that she dyed her hair with streaks of colors and dressed as they put "a punk rock hooker" at the end of the day she was still the girl who valued the things her family taught her.

At the age of sixteen however, her parents told her about the family's secret. Their family held key roles in a pack of werewolves the roamed over southern Ireland. At first Fallon didn't believe that the tales and stories her parents told her growing up were true. That was until they showed her at the beginning of that winter humans, people she knew, change into wolves before her eyes. The process made her want to cry as she heard their cries of pain during the transformation. But over the next four years of Fallon's life she learned what it was to be an Emissary which is what she would one day be. She learned that she would be the bridge between the world of wolves and the human world for the pack. She would guide them with her knowledge and advice them on matters that involved humans and the world around them.

Unfortunately for Fallon, at the age of twenty-two a new alpha rose in the pack she was training to be an Emissary for. This man was cruel and harsh and didn't see the need for Emissaries at all. And so, he tried to kill them all. Fortunately, some of the lower ranking wolves risked their lives and told Fallon's family about the Alpha's plans. And so they ran. They decided it would be best to separate. To go to different parts of the world to slow the alpha down. And so, Fallon got on a plan and headed to America. A year or so later she wound up in Portland, hearing word from other Emissaries in the States that the pack there needed an Emissary. And so off she went and she hasn't looked back since.

Personality:

Fallon can confuse quite a lot of people. On the outside, she appears as though she's a blunt woman who could care less about the world around her. And granted some days that is true, outside the Lux pack and the few humans who know about them, Fallon finds herself not caring. But when it comes to the pack, Fallon has a deep loyalty to them and cares about all of them deeply. Even if they get on her nerves sometimes. Being the youngest Emissary to the pack, sometimes Fallon finds herself lacking confidence in her decisions, a fact she tries to cover up when she feels lacking. Overall though, Fallon is honest and true to herself at the end of the day and she won't change herself for anyone.

Are the custom characters just for members of your role play? Or could someone who is interested in a CC and is not apart of the rp submit the CC app?

Custom characters are kind of like OCs - and yes, anyone can submit a CC app. The purpose of custom characters is so that if a member becomes inactive, we can re-open their character instead of deleting it! In short, yes, anyone can submit a custom character form.

Oh they are most definitely not just for members. That's just how it started out! Sorry about the confusion there!
