〖Shad〗:
❝ I should hope not….❞
Though nought follows unwonted transience, much ado nettles the refined obeisance held by containèd measure. Thereby, an elicited soance can be descried, endowed unto the wind by which quietus perplexes.
❝ Who knows where the three of you would be if you went without a stretch of rationality keeping you grounded. And—well, surely I wouldn’t—couldn’t have gotten far without any of you. We…truly needed one another, didn’t we? ❞
Set by a shroud of past-tense formality, there is reluctance then bounded to the incredulity which spurns the tessitura for the nonce sculpted into anomaly. In spite of their gilded cloister, a firm brow beseeches curvature to bend, so forth a countenance of scrutiny and divulging quaere sheath this vellum doctrine.
Doubt, ever baleful in its self-inflicted nourishment, laments forthwith, ( He had, perchance, needed them more so than they he. ) —As if he could vouch forgiveness for his desuetude. Indolence wrought the conscience of insouciant nature reared by unbridled normalcy. ( And as if he could forget that he held nary a hand in aiding his associates and Hyrule’s sage-tinctured champion. )
❝ I would certainly appreciate the company; but it would be sublime if I could forgo the animal skin and stick simply to a few extra layers. If possible, that is. ❞
Of course the day of their parting would come, she knew, howbeit perhaps they could delay it if only by a few days.
❝ We did. ❞
Said ruefully; they had needed each other, though now... there was no reason for their staying companions, or for the group as a whole to remain as one. They had places of which they required to return to, or find. The war had diminished, and peace restored. In due time they'd all split so until then she'd stay here, stay with those who brought her a certain tranquility ( akin to Hyrule's own stability ). Though, it could nearly be deemed ironic: the group was the closest people she had to a family; in fact, only Rusl had true blood kin.
This hadn't been a bother before meeting them, albeit she should have expected something as such to occur. In times of desperation, those willing to step up and act seem to band together--as did they. So to not believe one would become close with their partners would be foolish. That said, they had all met before the land had even fallen to peril, and no one's to say they'd never meet once more. They could only hope the next they see one another would not as battle-mates, but as mere comrades.
Though smile breaks ( however near-unnoticeable ) forlorn expression 'pon visage, as his next words are stated. Of course one could substitute furs for extra layers, howbeit many. Nathless, she was not about to tell him so
❝ If you're ready to freeze, go ahead. I won't stop you but don't complain when we reach the top, yeah? I wear the fur for a reason. ❞
