Day 2: a call
Day 1: sneak attack
Apparently people are coming back to this app??
Some of my environment tutorials/examples
its simpler stuff but the second drawing environments properly clicked for me, so much of how I structured art changed entirely. Ignore any and all typos, Krita doesn’t have a spell check.
The Absinthe Wells
A sullen jabberwocky roams the halls where the carpet is waterlogged, the halls are endless, and the windows stare out into the abyss.
Actually, yes! You are correct!
Seeing as you lovely wretcheds seem to enjoy my art of this place, here’s my lore:
The Absinthe Wells is an ambivalent entity found in the diminutive realms between waterways. You can find your way into it through portals that come and go, but that are always attached to bodies of water.
Clamber down a well to rescue a cat, and you might pop out into a crooked living-room where evidently, the cat is more than comfortable on the lap of a knobbly green man who breaks into lecture on how you took far too long, the cat would have drowned by now had it been in actual danger at the bottom of a well.
The dimension attaches its doors to sewer entrances, sink drains, particularly large puddles and glasses of water forgotten about on bedside tables. The house itself is more than alive: it is a cantankerous, tantrum-throwing brat. Slam the front door too hard and the entrance-hall floors will rip open into a dark, bottomless pit.
It isn’t quite as cognizant as an animal, however, and is perhaps more comparable to a vindictive plant or fungus than an animal or person. Its hallways are always changing and grow like roots, its bedrooms twist and multiply, and it’s immune system does everything in its power to rid itself of foreign bodies in its halls, so keep an eye on the ceiling should you pay a visit, chandeliers tend to drop.
