Irondequoit unveils special Frozen Frontier jersey: The Irondequoit Eagles High School hockey team will take to the Frontier Field ice on Saturday, December 21 wearing newly styled heritage jerseys. The much-anticipated throwback style jerseys are the first specially designed uniforms for any Section V high school outdoor game. This season marks the 45th anniversary of Irondequoit High School hockey and the school has chosen to help celebrate that by presenting a retro jersey that both reflects the great tradition of Irondequoit hockey and the memorable imagery of old-time hockey. When the team was selected to be part of the Section V Rivalry Day during the Frozen Frontier outdoor game series in Rochester, NY, it was an obvious stage to debut the new heritage jerseys. The tribute to the team was designed and driven by the Irondequoit Hockey Booster Club and enthusiastically embraced by the high school and student body.
