First article is officially published on my monthly column with the Mustard Seed Sentinel! I hope it can encourage you to be persistent in your prayers whether great or small! https://ift.tt/30ReEOa
I love raising daughters! Especially when they are Star Wars fans! I am not a hallmark movie type a gal so it is cool to have girls that share my love of action, adventure, and science fiction. #Starwars #starwarsgirl #starwarsgeeks #christianblogger #faithblogger #raisingdaughters #raisingstrongdaughters #faithblog #stronggirls #christianblog #raisingezers #womanempowerment https://ift.tt/2ZIz1fl
Views of Lake Michigan and yours truly from Great Lakes Naval Station. One of those pictures is from the RV park on base. So to my military camping-loving friends, this would be a relaxing place to stay! Military service has its perks, but it sure comes with great sacrifice. I am thankful that I am now on the other side of that now that my husband is retired. The girls and I don’t miss the deployments! This makes me think of the Christian life. Great perks on the other side! But on this side there is struggle and sacrifice. But as Jesus followers, we serve the King and put it all out it on the line. So we serve, looking forward to what comes at the end of our service. #ChristianBlogger #militarycamping #Rvlife #jesusfollower #greatlakes #lakemichigan #militarylife #militarywife #servingtheKing #byHisGrace #byhisgracebloggers https://ift.tt/2ZEXUZq
My easel has found a home! For years it had been tucked away in my office not seeing the light of day. In motherhood, sometimes you forget to do the things you love, but I am determined to get back into the habit of drawing and painting again. In a way, I have felt that I have hidden my talents. Every skill and talent is from the Lord and we have to ask ourselves, “Am I hiding my talents from the Lord?” And we should also ask, “Lord, how can I best use my talents to serve you?” The answer will be different for everyone. If you have young children, your talents may need to be directed to ministering to them. Or you may need to use your talents in your current profession as a light in a dark world. What talents are you hiding? Or are you using your talents for your own glory instead of God’s? These are the questions I am wrestling with as I begin a new season in life. #Christianblogger #ChristianArtist #ChristianArt #talents #byhisgrace #jesusfollower #artthatheals #artforGod #artforGodsGlory https://ift.tt/2zqVKBN
I am excited to announce that I now have my own column! Woohoo! I will be writing for the Mustard Seed Sentinel, (https://ift.tt/2KSH98U), an online Christian magazine. My recurring theme will be, "Stories of Answered Prayer." So if you have an amazing story of answered prayer that you think will encourage others, please message me directly. I would love to get other people's stories out there.
I really appreciated this article because I am ridiculously shy. I was always the quiet kid and it has taken a lot of energy to force myself out of it. So for all you shy people out there, this is a good read! https://ift.tt/2Hj19Py
My new street! I thought it was fitting since my desire now that the girls are in school full time is to focus my energies on writing. For those that may not be aware, Jack London was a famous writer early in the 20th century. My whole neighborhood is actually filled with streets named after famous writers. I love the little signs that God gives me to confirm the path that I am in. As I finishing painting rooms and unpacking, I am excited to get back to writing. Expect to see a lot more from me in the next few months! #ChristianBlogger #JackLondon #FollowyourCalling #lovewriting #HisPlan #FruitfullyLiving #livefruitfully #faithinfluencer #byhisgrace https://ift.tt/2NmFFFx
Memories! The site of my first real job over 25 years ago in Palatine, IL. Still the best hot dogs around! I remember working there both Saturday and Sundays in high school, saving money for college. #Portillos #firstjob https://ift.tt/2SSc47o

One of my favorite parts of blogging is creating my own graphics. Drawing this picture for my latest blog on Uriah was a lot of fun! #christianblogger #spiritualwarrior #graphic_art https://ift.tt/2JAClnW
I have been reading the Bible chronologically this year and I realized something about Uriah I had never seen before. There is a lot more to this man's story than meets the eye. I couldn't even find a decent image to use for my graphic so I drew my own. My latest blog details Uriah's background and the spiritual lessons we can take away from this faithful warrior. https://ift.tt/2jS72uO
Uriah the Hittite: A Faithful Warrior
In the Old Testament wars were fought to achieve God’s purposes. In the New Testament, we are called to a different type of war, a spiritual war. Although the weapons of our warfare are no longer carnal, there is a… Read more

One of the most delicious things I have ever tasted, Tres Leches French Toast. Discovering some of the best places to eat here in St. Charles, IL. Food is a great reminder of God’s graciousness. I remember a friend telling me that God could have just given us tasteless pellets of food to pick off trees to survive. But instead he gave us a great variety of ingredients that we can mix into a variety of delicious combinations. For what purpose? To enjoy and to bring people together for fellowship. We serve a good God! #ButtermilkRestaurant #christianblogger #godisgood https://ift.tt/2NWIhvB
In our efforts to stand for truth, we often fail miserably at actually loving people. On the other hand, in our efforts to show compassion, we fail miserably at standing for truth. And yet there is a happy medium--and that is to love like Jesus. https://ift.tt/30ybdeZ
How to Love Like Jesus
Love like Jesus. It seems simple enough and yet I find that few Christians do (myself included). Instead, I see two extreme attitudes that run rampant within the Christian Church, pharisaical and permissive. The pharisaical person justifies their position under… Read more

Family—-it is a beautiful thing and I am so grateful for it. It is God designed and when we are together it is also a powerful thing. But I grieve for the countless families torn apart by divorce, illness, mental illness, and so on. Pray for God strengthened families and God strengthened marriages because then families prosper, neighborhoods prosper, cities prosper. #LoveFamily #strongmarriage #fightforfamily https://ift.tt/2YCVZoh
