Potentially hot take, but SCP Sedition started immediately going downhill when they let Jacobs' VA (Clown Prince of Crime) go. Dude was a major scriptwriter, had a VISION for the plot that you can find the remains of on his YouTube channel, and managed to make so many of the characters interesting and unique.

I'm pretty sure he left because of "creative differences" and it's pretty clear what those were when you look at the plot he was building compared to what we're being given now. Dude never would have turned them all into edgelords 😩

I COULDNT AGREE MORE ANON💔💔Clown Prince was the head writer of SCP: Sedition and was the main reason for its success. Be honest, would 035 really be as popular as it is now without Clowns interpretation?

Along with that, Clown is the reason for the side characters and, as you said, intriguing side plots. There was an overarching story with the original sedition, and the reason they left the team was because Tats wanted to have Seditions more in line with the top 10 ranking videos (in the way that there wouldn’t be a full story or personality-driven writing, instead being found footage and tests on SCPs), which is why I believe A New Era is having a very bad fall off.

What made the sedition tapes so popular was its character driven storytelling. You can find a million videos about the SCPs abilities, powers, and what makes them “scary monsters”. But how many can you find where the SCPs are talking about their history’s, motivations, and goals?

This is all to say… CHECK OUT CLOWNS NEW PROJECT SCP: ESSENCE OF WATER!! It’s only been teased with a meme so far, but getting more eyes on the teaser boosts motivation hehe.. The creator Mar said in a comment that they were excited to bring back Clowns characters like Jacobs and McCrimmon, so NOT ALL HOPE IS LOST‼️‼️WE WILL GET CANON JACOBS MEDIA‼️‼️ (and hopefully a canon design hehehhe…)
