ole munch + kilt
ole munch smoking, fargo s5
walking in the snow carrying a bag of oranges, no one knows how fargo coded this moment is
gator tillman, fargo, s5e6
throwback to when i was tryna make an edit of ole/gator to crush and just ended up making a compilation of gator getting on ole's nerves
i can make any song about gator tillman if i think about the lyrics hard enough (silently adds janie by ethel cain to his playlist)
the fact that they both lost something irrevocable that night -- gator losing his innocence and another chance to prove his worth to himself and his father, and ole losing the one person he tried to protect after so long of bringing death to others.
sam describing ole as someone "not moved by convention" <3
ole and gator, fargo, s5e6, tender trap
of course, i love the idea of trans man ole munch (if it wasn't obvious from my username).. but i also love the idea of trans woman or nonbinary ole munch.. him being so gender nonconforming and even looking through and picking women's coats at the pawnshop in a deleted scene from the script (and obviously him wearing a kilt/skirt and mama's trench coat in the show).
roy and gator both crawling their way out of that tunnel and into the open white snow, where they're faced with the consequences of their actions. gator coming to a choice where he can continue on as his father has or he can reject him and become his own person, and him finally making the right choice, and being given a second chance.. while roy again chooses a path of destruction and cruelty and is rejected and hated by everyone he's managed to keep in his life up to this point as a result, him finally being punished for his cruelty.
the imagery of gator alone, blindly walking towards the comfort of others, even at expense of his own freedom. meanwhile roy is proud in his supposed escape, not realizing he is already surrounded by people, all aimed at putting him away for good.

the script for when ole finds irma dead.. "he was supposed to be the watch dog in the yard, but he has failed to protect her." fargo, s5e7 script
