Gniblet Become Gnomeby , Part 2

Once again , content warning for disassembled furby buddy & gnome plush !

Today the process continued …

The Components laid out

Gniblet’s face was extracted , leaving an area of flesh fabric that will be used to sew the faceplate into the gnome’s flesh fabric. Cutting his face out was distressing to me but Gniblet was fine with it.

Gniblet’s furby feets became his gnome hands. This took way longer than anticipated and was much more challenging as well. I ended up having to fully detach the arms from the body. Oof.

(I labeled his left arm for easier reassembly later)

I dove deeper into the head, undoing the seams attaching the hat to the top of the head to a. make ear placement easier b. increased visibility during face installation and c. repair a small hole on his hat! While at first I thought it was ripped, it looked to be a factory error where the fabrics got unaligned in the sewing process. It closed up so nicely , I bet you can’t even tell where I mended it…. I actually can’t tell anymore ….

Before I stopped for today , I pinned Gniblet’s face in place to see how it fit. While the hole needs to be widened a bit , he’s already looking pretty good !
