absolutely REELING from this past weekend. i can't even put into words how much seeing this incredible show meant to me and my little starkid heart. darren was incredible and magical and totally awesome. the play itself was so great and turned me into a huge helen fan as well! would highly highly highly recommend this show to anyone, felt like a pixar movie come to life with our favorite leading guy! darren was truly amazing, beyond all biases, he truly killed this role and i was blown away by his physicality and comedic timing. i've always known he could act and sing with the best of them and it was such an honor to catch this stage production. would any of you have guessed in 2007 that this is where he'd be in 2025!!!!! so amazing. i've been a starkid fan since 2011 and truly this was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. sadly darren did not stage door so didn't get to meet him but ofc that's okay! i totally get nobody is entitled to a stage door interaction and it was also mother's day and a sunday matinee. wowwwwwie harry potter! will be cheering him on from home for the upcoming tony's too!!

i made an onyx storm playlist!!!

okay so i know rebecca has her own official playlist that’s for onyx storm, but i reallly wanted to make my own too-

some of the themes and feelings of the songs on the playlist are dramatic, full of love, grief, fear, have that fantasy element, some songs are instrumental for battle scenes, and over all follow some of the major plot points of the book. i will add songs to this playlist as i reread this series and find any new songs that may help picture the book while reading.
