FANGHEARTED: nothing like a glass full of the sexy ass bartender to get me through the night. FANGHEARTED: or is it a healthy glass of V8′s tomato juice? FANGHEARTED: i just disgusted myself. it’s the bartender.
OMAR: i see you’ve finally downloaded snap. welcome to this century, babe. OMAR: “sexy ass” bartender tho? i’d be worried if he weren’t already dead OMAR: but still. show some restraint. i may be dead but i still have feelings OMAR: and speaking of feelings, i had a question... how do you feel about children?

‘ i just really wish you’d let me kick his ass , ‘ he grumbles , half jokingly . an exasperated sigh slips from his lips as he listens to her go on . it truly does break his heart to see his very best friend go through something he wishes desperately that he could take care of . it’s the kind of instance where he’d do anything to take her pain and put it upon himself . he gently rubs the small of her back , a calming and comforting gesture that he had learning from his grandmother . ‘ hey – no , look at me , this is not your fault . he’s the piece of shit who should have never put his hands on you in the first place . don’t think for a second that this has anything to do with what you did or did not do . ‘
“isn’t it though?” brittany finally looked up to lock eyes with alejandro. “i mean, i know i didn’t do anything to make him hit me. i’m not...yeah, i know that.” brittany knew there were some women who never made it out of abusive relationships and she should be grateful that she had the strength to walk away. but it was difficult not to blame herself. “i just...don’t understand how i let myself be put in that situation. why was i with him? all of my friends said he was bad news. i should have listened to you ale, to everyone.” brittany let herself fall back to the bed, throwing an arm over her eyes to block out the bright ceiling light. “i just need a distraction. i’m supposed to have breakfast with my brother tomorrow and it’s gonna be so much drama.” she lifted her arm to peek back at ale. “can we just have fun tonight?”

sitting on the opposite side of the front door, zion’s legs were tucked beneath her as she was propped on the couch. she hadn’t as much heard his voice in weeks, let alone seen him. she’d blocked him in every way possible and changed the locks. granted, it may have been rash without hearing his side of things, but she had pregnancy brain. and she was more emotional than she’d ever want to be. the consistent banging didn’t get her to budge. jake hadn’t done anything in his absence to reach out to her and she didn’t care what bullshit excuse he had. “get the fuck away before i call the fuckin’ cops!” arms going across her chest, she hoped he’d take the hint that she didn’t want to see him.
“the fuck? call the fucking cops then!” jake punctuated the statement with the side of his fist to the door. “the only way i’m leaving this goddamn hallway is in a body bag if you don’t let me the fuck in.” he’d had every intention of coming over to make peace, but it was hard not to be frustrated knowing that zion was willing to end their relationship and keep him from his unborn child. “baby, you’ve got at least eighteen more years of me in your life. is this really how you wanna do it? talking to each other through closed doors? open up!”

doing his best to keep his composure under the new warm proximity of theirs he quietly inhales. hues drop down to his hand on his tie and then back to the once familiar face he’d spend hours looking at. its true peyton has moved on and as he studies vijay he looks for differences from the last time they were this close. as quickly as he stepped forward he was already stepping back and he felt a weight lighten off his shoulders. “let me carry it then.” the tree spirit would be lying to himself if he believed nothing suspicious would happen in the privacy of his ex’s four walls. extending a hand outward he attempts to sway him with the assurance in his demeanor. “i’ve bulked up a bit since you last saw me. i got it, c’mon i know a place not too far from here either.”
vijay smiled amicably at peyton’s suggestion and slid his bag from his shoulder. his ulterior motives were obvious and his ex was obviously trying to play it safe. but time must have allowed peyton to forget that vijay had very little shame, an audience would never keep him from getting what he wanted...if he wanted peyton. vijay was still trying to figure it out, unsure if he genuinely missed the man or if he just didn’t want anyone else to have what was once his. he’d always been awful at sharing. he made a show of placing his bag on peyton’s shoulder, allowing his hands to drag over his shoulder and down to his bicep. “i couldn’t even tell you’d bulked up. you’ve always been...nicely shaped? you look great, babe, always have.” he let his hands fall from peyton down to his bag and adopted a more serious tone. “i actually just left work, so i have case files in here. just... make sure you don’t lose track of it while we’re out, okay? life and death stuff.” it was actually one of the many things they argued about when they were together. vijay always took his work home, working day and night at a job he hated. since their breakup, he’d found a better job, but old habits die hard and he still enjoyed putting in long hours. “c’mon, lead the way.”

what are the complete odds that peyton runs into vijay after the rehearsal dinner? life must have a sense of humor and he can’t fault him for meeting like this. vijay’s words, on the other hand, let him know that he may not have fully moved on. “are you sure you want to hear about my fiance?” he can’t help but snort out, “i’ll share a drink with you but we don’t have to talk about them. you could tell me about what’s new with you.”
vijay tilted his head and smiled, completely unsure of how to answer peyton. the competitive, possessive part of him absolutely wanted to hear about his ex’s new partner. he couldn’t ensure he was better was better than the man if he didn’t know anything about him after all. the more mature part of jay knew he should leave it alone though. peyton was obviously happy. jay should just be happy for him. hell, he only had himself to blame for their relationship falling apart so many years ago. vijay stepped forward, closing some of the distance between them. “i totally meant what i said. i want to hear all about him.” he gave peyton’s tie a playful tug. “i gotta make sure he’s treating my guy right, don’t i?” he stepped back, cooling his flirtatious expression into something more innocent and friendly, and patted his heavy messenger bag. “i hate carrying this thing around when i go out, you mind if we grab that drink at my place?”
the rev of the engine overpowered the soft sound of childish gambino purring through the speakers; the wind blowing through her long locks. days like this, driving without no destination, were what dulce lived for. especially with him. it was evident in the way she gazed at him - with such deep infatuation - that she was hooked. “you’re so handsome, baby.” she finally broke the silence. “how did i –” she boldly reached over to grab his free hand and placed it on her bare thigh. her words were as taunting as her actions, slow and meticulous. “get so –” slowly guiding his flattened palm, she drew it closer to her, the hem of her sundress ‘accidentally’ flipping up to expose her naked core. “lucky?” dulce glanced over at him with a quirked brow, her lips curled into a sickly sweet grin.
omar chuckled to himself. “you know...i’d usually say that any woman would be lucky to be with me, but you babe? you work for it.” omar moved to finish what his girl had started, his hand sliding up to enjoy the warmth between her thighs, his fingertips running over her slit, brushing her clit before reaching warm and sticky wetness. “every time you spread your legs for me, you earn it.” dulce was everything omar looked for in a woman, she was beautiful, she loved and adored him, and she was never afraid to show just how much. omar slid two fingers into her as he kept his eyes peeled for somewhere to pull off. pulling his fingers out, he slid them back in, repeating the motion a handful of times before bringing his fingers to his mouth to lick them clean. placing his hand back on her thigh, he turned from the road to glance at her. “you think you can wait for a bit longer, babe?”
text // the 😈 ex
ricky: you know, a couple of weeks ago, you were real adamant about not wanting anything to do with me.
ricky: but since then, you've been all over my gram, hearting it up. miss me?
possible connections: male bff
“look, i don’t need you to do the whole macho ‘i’m gonna kick his ass’ bullshit, okay? i have a big brother for that. and he’s already gonna lose his shit when he sees this black eye. my boy-- ex, my ex is gonna be dead by sundown tomorrow. i just need...i need a friend.” brittany hated that she was getting emotional. she thought she was stronger than this. resting her head in her hands for a moment, she tried to calm down. “god, you were so right about him. why didn’t i listen?”
possible connections: engaged ex-boyfriend
“you know...my mom always tells me i was an idiot to let you go.” vijay didn’t agree with his mother on most things, but the ball of jealousy rolling in his gut at the sight of his ex with a ring on his finger made him think she might have been right about this one thing. “would you maybe wanna stick around and grab a drink? we could catch me up and fill me in on your new love.”
