Ian grinned,·“Never done it, but i’ll see what I can do.” He wasn’t sure if he actually could, it would be too weird. Of course he was still attracted to Mickey, it was almost impossible for him to not be attracted to him. But it was a whole other story this way.

He laughed, “Gross.” Ian nodded along to the others words. He lit up a smoke and had a quick drag before handing it to Mickey, he needed to relax before he thought too much, he was actually a fucking girl, what was up with this place? Mickey’s face contorted in disgust at the thought of his bo– of Ian with long hair. “Don’t even fucking think about it.” She snapped, knocking her shoulder against Ian’s. It was strange, to still want him, even when he looked like the one thing he could never convince himself to want. A small smile graced his lips at the bump, he wouldn’t do it anyway, the longest his hair had gotten in the past was as long as it would stay. “I promise.” He nudged him back. “You’re not so bad yourself.” Ian almost pinched his nose, Mickey truly was ignorant sometimes, but he knew that all to well already, he would be stupid to deny it. “Transgender?”

He grinned, shaking his head, “Okay.” He ruffled his fingers through his red hair, “You never liked my hair long, maybe I should grow it out when this wears off.” He knew Mickey would practically vomit at the thought.

“Still can’t believe it man. Don’t he got friends or somethin’ so I don’t have to get roped into this bullshit?” All these years and to those outside of Juzo he denied their friendship, though now he did so with a smile. Mickey propped himself up to keep his weight off of Ian, not that the red head would’ve minded much, fit little fuck that he was. When he started laughing, Mickey couldn’t help but join right up until the short joke that earned Ian a pinch on his bare rib cage. “Keep talkin’ smart-mouth, I’ll bitch slap ya’.” Mickey threatened, probably sounding earnest to anyone outside of the pair. “You got some serious mornin’ breath, kid.” He teased, pressing his lips eagerly to Ian’s for a moment, raising his brows as he leaned back. “You know, I have missed seein’ you in a suit. Maybe we’ll have t’ christen the church bathroom seein’ they can’t?” He teased with a grin, his legs on either side of Ian’s. “I’m try’na hit on you, but look at that fuckin’ hair man.” He grumbled playfully, using his rough hand to attempt to muss Ian’s into play. “Like on of those weird lapdogs.”

He laughed and shook his head, “He does have friends, you’re one of them.” He shook his head. Ian jumped slightly at the pinch, but grinned during the threat, to anyone else, that would have sounded weird, but to him the fact that Mickey hadn’t made him bleed was a show of affection. “Well excuse me, your breath isn’t exactly perfect in the morning either.” He smiled as the other leaned back. “Church bathroom? Why not.” Besides the obvious y’know, religious values that they both lacked. Ian smirked slightly at the way he spoke, “Lap dog huh?” He pulled him down again and smirked.

“Dipshits wedding’s comin’ up. We need suits after what you got us into on fuckin’ new years, so start waking up, Sleepy Face.” He grinned, the blanket tangling itself around his feet as he made himself comfortable crawling up beside his boyfriend. “That was necessary. He lost the bet, he should’a paid up.” Mickey snorted before letting out a quiet ‘oof’ as Ian tugged him down against his chest. “Pussy.” He accused, despite the nature of his gentle kiss to Ian’s probably throbbing head after how drunk they ended up getting. Once Mickey stopped being so afraid of what the world would do to him for loving Ian, it was almost like a flood gate of affection had broken. He never thought twice about his little gestures. “You get five minutes, after that I’m letting mini-me out of his cage to wake your ass up. And that aint a sex euphemism, I’m talking about short stack in the next room.”

He laughs a bit and nudges him, wrapping a lazy arm around him. “Mr groomsman.” He laughs a little, groomsman Mickey was not something you’d guess at first glance. When the gentle contact registered in Ian’s brain he smiled probably more than he should have, he leaned up to peck his lips back in an affection driven moment of weakness . He basically lost it laughing at the whole ‘mini me’ thing. “You can’t tease me like that.” He jokes, closing his eyes once again. “Short stack? Are you sure you’re not talking about yourself?” He grinned.

“What, can I not wink at you?” Josh swayed slightly, softly biting his lower lip in a (fake) teasing flirt. He was now convinced that he’d almost lured Ian out of the closet. Best not to push it, though. “You talk a lot about this ‘Mickey’ kid. So who is he, like, an old bro from boy scouts or something?”

Ian looked uncomfortable from the get go, fucking hell. “Uh, I-I mean, um. Mick? No uhm, we lived in the same neighborhood i’m uhm, he’s Mandy’s brother. Mandy being my girlfriend, yeah.” He rubbed his hand over his face nervously. “Anyway, drinks, lot’s of drinks.” He quickly walked into the pub as if to push Josh away from the subject. He ordered two shots and clinked his glass against his before quickly downing it. “...Fuck.”

“Hey bitch, what’chu think this is? A bed and breakfast?” Mickey grinned, shrugging on his shirt as he stared down at the half asleep Ian despite the fact the sun had been up for hours. His smile widened as he crawled up the bed beside him, his body still felt a little battered from the fight he’d gotten into at the bar the night before, but it didn’t seem to bother him much. His ‘fuck’ hand rested on Ian’s arm, giving him a playful shove to rouse him. “Get your ass outta bed sleepin’ beauty, we got shit to do.”

He rubbed his eyes and shook his head. “What do we need to do that’s more important than this?” He grabbed Mickey’s arm gently as if to return the gesture. “I drunk way too much, trying to distract myself from your fight.” He jokes, nudging him gently with his fist, before pulling him down quickly against him. “You could lie with me for like five minutes, while I wake up okay? Please...” He groaned, grabbing his head.

Mickey didn’t shift uncomfortably at the nudge, but his mind seemed hyper aware, glancing between the two other guys in the bar. He didn’t want them to get the right wrong impression. “I don’t know, I want my streets back. I never had to lock the door back home, everyone knew not to fucking enter the Milkovich house unless they wanna die. Here? This place is fuckin’ backwards.” He grumbled, taking another hearty mouthful. “I want my shit hole back. Better the turd you know than the one you don’t.”

He stayed silent for a moment, “It’s more peaceful here I guess, no one really fucks with you anyway, unless you go after them first.” He smiled a little, like today. “I don’t know though.. I kind of like it here, I mean i’ve got you and Mandy, if my siblings turn up i’ll have everything I need, plus we won’t need to do all this stupid shit for money.” He didn’t even think that terry coming could be a possibility, he hadn’t seen anyone that old, hopefully he was right.

“Too bad we didn’t end up in Ireland, huh? I’d fit right in. Fuckin’ short ass drunks, gettin’ in fights.” Mickey lifted the drink to his lips, it smelt like something that could run a car, aka the good shit. “D’ya reckon we’re ever gonna get to leave this shit hole?” Mickey asked, taking a swig tasting the blood in his mouth wash down with the fluid.

He grinned at Mickey, “You said it not me.” He nudged him with his leg before taking a drink. “I don’t know Mick...I miss my family but, it’s nice to have a break. In the end we really just moved from one shit hole to another.” At that moment Ian’s own words struck him and he ran a hand through his hair. “Fuck.”

“You doubtin’ my skills, Red?” The walked in to the bar, Mickey shoving the door hard so Ian could slip in behind him. Probably the closest the two would ever come to him holding a door for Ian. “Whatever they got that’ll fuck me right up.” He called out, leaning against their booth. He glanced across the room, half expecting to see his dad playing pool with his fuck head friends. It was no secret that Terry had loved the Alibi much more than he loved his own children.

“I would never doubt you Mick, you know that.” He learnt his lesson. He laughed and shook his head, getting him a few shots. He sat down across from him and put his drinks down. “You’re welcome.” He jokes, putting his change back in his pocket. He sipped his beer as he looked around, “There’s like two people here, guess day drinking isn’t as popular here.”

Mickey struggled in Ian’s hold, cussing the entire time as he was spun like an angry cat that was picked up by a over excited toddler. “You lookin’ to get slapped, bitch?” He shot back with a laugh. For a moment the laughed died out as Mickey looked at him, since kissing Ian once it had been burning in his brain like a disease, rotting out all rational thoughts. It sobered him a little, to realize how much control he’d let slip just by having fun. His smile was still in place, but he shifted his eyes from Ian’s lips to slightly left of his face as he regained his breath from their little games. “Beat your ass by the way,” He boasted playfully.

He smirked at the other, supposing that was kind of a hug? His smirk turned into a smile and was directed over at Mickey before he bit his lip, “Sure you did, come on i’ll buy you a drink.” As Ian walked in he went up to the bar, “What do you want Mick?” He asked before ordering himself a beer, he didn’t plan to get hammered, knowing he would probably have to help Mickey home in a few hours.

“I’d be taller than you’re fuckin’ ass though, bitch!” He snorted, a grin wide on his face. A rare sight on the Milkovich kids, infamous for their scowls and deadly glares. It was easy to see Mickey for what he was when he smiled like that… a kid. Mickey was pulled to a stop by Ian, despite the fact he was panting like a fool, his dopey grin was still in place. “You fuckin’ love it.” He challenged, grabbing Ian behind the neck and playfully pushing his abdomen. Play fighting wasn’t something these two did before now. No before now it had been real blood, but in that moment as Mickey stopped fighting labels so hard for just one little second, he couldn’t imagine himself ever wanting to hurt Ian. “What’chu got, Gallagher?” He teased, mockingly pushing him.

He smiled and grabbed Mickey’s waist with both arms, lifting him off his feet and spinning him slightly before putting him quickly onto his feet again, “I can pick you up Mick! You really wanna try?” He grinned. Remembering the last time they were outside the pub and how Mickey had fought against Ian’s foot touching his, but now there they were, outside the same place not too much later, practically hugging and smiling. Ian knew this wouldn’t last forever, so he kept saying to himself to make the most of it, to make sure the moments were Mickey showed affection were burned into his brain.

Maybe it was the fact he was running on adrenaline, or he’d taken a couple of blows to the head but Mickey didn’t seem to care who saw them goofing around like this as he took off ahead of Ian, knowing it wasn’t a fair race with the height the ginger had on him. “You’re a fuckin’ cheat, Gallagher! Gimme some stilts you ass!” Mickey accused, feeling him hot on his heels. Mickey slowed only to shoulder open the main door of the school, hearing people shouting after them as they went, full pelt outside. He practically had to leap frog a freshman to avoid eating cement.

“Stilts would make it harder!” He laughs, god this was so...Nice. Just fucking around without Mickey freaking out, god it made him happy. He swiftly doges the poor kid Mickey jumped and spun slightly on his heel, “I’m taking it easy on you!” He laughs. When they were far enough away Ian started to laugh harder before grabbing Mickey’s arms playfully, “We’re in so much shit!” He didn’t care, being with Mickey in that moment meant no matter what they went back to they’d have each other, once again, Ian was the accomplice.

Maybe it was the violent, junkyard dog nature that pumped in Mickey’s veins that turned him on when Ian shoved him like that, maybe it was just that he was so far gone anything would at that point. Pent up tension of all sorts was getting him hot under the collar. “No harm done, tough guy.” He grinned despite the blood in his mouth, as his eyes darted to the fight and what looked like a teacher coming down the hall. “Ready t’ run, firecrotch?”

Ian couldn’t help but smile when Mickey didn’t punch him back. The blood in his mouth seemed to be standard procedure and obviously didn’t bother him, so Ian didn’t want to offer to clean him up in case he ruined how nice Mickey was being. He looked where Mickey was and nodded, starting to run as soon as Mickey did, he knew he could only just out run Mickey, so giving him a few seconds head start would be about enough to keep them equal.

“Have you ever heard yourself talk? You don’t seem to have much of a filter, not that many people here do.” Ian shrugged, knowing most of the kids from this strange place would end up quite confused in the future.
