I wish Danny had listened to Leo when he told him to stop looking for his past. I was screaming at the screen "NOO just go, go and be gay and happy and free," because oh my god what a doomed yaoi thing for Danny to say/do. Leo only ended up actually trying to get rid of him because Danny wanted to find out about his past and everything. If he hadn't done that they could have just been happy :(( Leo was so DOWN to escape that asylum and go live a lil life and enjoy his freedom with Danny I just KNOW it and it breaks my heart every damn time that Danny didn't just turn around and say "You know what? Yeah, I'll go ahead and trust you, fuck this."
But no, Danny pursued the truth until it destroyed everything, even (eventually) the knowledge of the very past he sought to gain in the first place. Its so sad :(
Hi. I think Leo would enjoy making Danny beg for things. A lot.
I think it starts as a sort of half-joke at first: Leo is bored in the asylum or something, so he takes Danny's glasses, not for any particular reason, just to see what happens, you know? He's the kind of guy that I think acts on small impulses like that frequently. When Danny is like "What? Aw man :( Can i have those back?" (He probably doesn't even try to grab them back out of his hands, i think he would just sit there squinting up at Leo like a pathetic little blind mole rat.) And Leo is like ">:) if you beg for it haha." And Danny is like, "Please." But its not really enough, its not really a beg and Leo commits okay, so he's like, "Come on, Danny. You can do better than that. Beg me."
Hes just playing around, really; Yeah, he kind of wants to see Danny beg, but at its core its just a joke. Its just a joke. Until Danny gets all flustered and his face is flushed and he cant quite meet his eyes and he's very quietly and meekly saying "Please, Leo."
And it just- it rewires something in his brain, okay. He didn't expect it, but in an instant, he's a slightly different man. He hands the glasses back, but he can't stop thinking about it.
After that, he's making Danny beg all the time. For anything. For everything. Just because he can, just because he likes it, just because Danny will do it for him, every time he asks. He abuses the hell out of that power. Over time, it loses even the facade of a 'joke,' and it becomes clear- Leo just wants him to beg.
Of course, Danny notices. And he even asks Leo once why he always gets him to do it. Just once, because when Leo answers, "You're cute when you beg," Danny gets all flustered, stammering, unable to look at Leo's smirking face, making some bullshit excuse that he needs to do something 'in the other room,' as if they aren't squatting in an abandoned house and there's nothing to do in the other room.
But he still keeps doing it every time he asks. Although he's more flustered every time, now, he's also more eager, more fervent. Maybe because he knows how much Leo enjoys it genuinely, and Danny is eager to please. After a while, Leo doesn't even need to ask for him to do it. Danny's gotten conditioned into it, and he just starts begging, whining, over each and every little thing. He spends a quarter of their time alone as a pathetic pleading mess practically at Leo's feet, and Leo spends most of that time half-hard in his pants because fucking hell, he's adorable.
And its not like Leo doesn't still want him to be assertive. He does, as always he wants Danny to put his foot down, stand up for himself. He's forever going to be Danny's biggest hype man and I will die on that hill. But when it's just them, when it's not important... I think he would enjoy how Danny changes. How he's the only one who gets to see him like that, increasingly so as Danny learns to stand up for himself more.
When they start fucking (Yeah, they haven't been yet. Legitimately i think they get super weird and codependent and homoerotic and even kinky wayyyy before they start fucking, they're absolute fucking freaks and I love them for it)- anyways, when they start fucking: its the same. Leo makes Danny beg for a lot of different things when they do gay shit, but especially beg to fuck him/be fucked. Like, softly saying, "Come on, Danny. You know what I want, don't you?" While Danny sits in his lap, futilely grinding his cock against Leo's stomach. And he doesn't let Danny fuck him until he's whimpering and whining, completely and utterly debased with want and desperation, begging and begging because he needs him-
And I don't think it ever gets old for Leo. Every time Danny's face gets all pink, and his voice gets quiet and soft, dropping into that plaintive tone, big pleading blue eyes looking up at him, Leo just can't look away, can't get enough of it. Not now, not ever.
love how throughout the game the big thing with Leo was Danny putting trust in Leo when he was pleaded not to and Leo was manipulating him, so he rly would've worked for the TRUST aspect of Love, Duty, Trust, and Hate
so the way the only part he ends up associated with is LOVE, and not just that but the first time it's representing the love between him and his wife but ends with Leo instead,
he kills his wife, they try to run away together, and Danny ends up genuinely super attached to Leo and deeply distraught and distressed when they're separated after Altered State- to the point he immediately looks for him and his name is the first thing he says upon waking both times
- is all as blatantly gay as possible. they fucking knew what they were doing lol
I'm always like "MAN why do I love this new game/movie/show I'm playing/watching so much? Oh what could it be? What kind of Special Sauce is in this? What kind of inexplicable pull am I feeling towards this thing for some reason which is so cryptic and strange I can't even fathom what it could possibly-"
rly love the development of Manhunt 2 being like hmm maybe we should have the voice of god or a muppet puppet telling this guy to kill people but then they were like nah actually let's just give him a boyfriend with the sexiest voice possible to do it instead. and at first Leo looked basic and boring but they changed his design a bunch of times until he looked way more charmingly compellingly freakish and then that's the face Daniel ends up associating with "Love". very funny and beautiful
