Wood walls, my dolls, are absolutely ready for prime time. we adore!
Sheets by Flaneur
I have wooden panel walls, they're currently a vibrant blue but I want to go white. Any tips to keep the walls from looking outdated and old in a bad way?
this is not a bad problem to have, my lover!! is it like wainscoting ? if so, white is classic. Otherwise, if the walls have a certain weird texture, you may want to make them smooth by sanding or wood-filler, sand, then paint. White will look very chic AS LONG as your furniture is also with white accents. rattan, cork, weave, and linen will work nicely.
so I was wondering where I should get boho room decor from in America I know urban outfitters has some cool stuff but what would recommend?
for boho furniture my recommendations are as follows in ranking of quality:1. vintage shops/antique shops, 2. flea markets, 3. target/tj maxx/faux vintage.
the boho aesthetic really involves mixing textures. don’t forget to do this! add lace, doilies, blankets, potato sacks, texture and light are your best friends. cover your windows barely and do NOT have a central light source. have candles, lamps. but no overhead lighting unless a dim chandelier.
could i send in a picture of my room and you could give me tips? i am SO stuck. thanks! xx
yes!!
hello! i’ve wanted to do my room a wine-red color for a while, how would you go about doing this while keeping it a relaxing space?
this is a beautiful color! however, be responsible:
1. make sure the BASEBOARDS (the painted or stained area of wall near the floor) are removed or painted in the same color. wine red is hard to make good with most woods and definitely not white. Otherwise, candles, grays, NO PURE WHITE PLEASE!! Off whites only. Invoke history and charm and grace. Use glass (large vases filled with fairy lights or plants). keep curtains in similar red hues.
what's a good third color for pink and yellow?
oh ! my god! absolutely please take in a very fair tan or dusty gray or blue!!
