Clue
If I could be any of the Clue characters it would be Colonel Mustard. Can you find a cooler character?! When I designed this guy it made sense to make him a Punjabi officer — the thought even came to change his name to Colonel Curry! But let’s not be silly — what would I have on my hot dog?
Who do you Clue? (Which character do you choose when you play Clue?)
I should also include, if you have never read Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None you may have missed the greatest murder mystery story of all time. Colonel Mustard has always reminded me of a character named General MacArthur from that book. Seriously, read it!
AND don’t forget to check out my booth next week at the Salt Lake Comic Con!
Come to my Comic Con booth to see her for sure! See you Thursday!
There is an interesting story in designing Miss White. No other character went through so many changes! I knew I didn’t want to make her the lowly maid we’ve seen so often. And I knew I wanted Mrs. Scarlett (whom you’ll meet later) to be be repulsive and unattractive (hence the subtle switch of “Miss” and “Mrs.”). That meant Miss White would need to be cute.
My first thought was to design Miss White as a black woman — kind of a cool twist.
I hadn’t quite done my homework and I later learned that being fully dressed in white came off as a voodoo priestess — not quite what I was going for. Others also said she came off too manly (her shoulders are too broad). I also realized I’d like to base a character on my wife Jenn. I’d already designed Prof. Plum to look like myself and we needed to have us both in there!
And there you have it! Jenn’s hair is definitely not red, but the red-orange went really well with the blues and whites. My goal was to make her look as wonderful and kind as possible — just like my Jenn. I think she turned out pretty well!
Clue (1985) Trivia - The actor playing Mr. Boddy is the front man of the punk rock band Fear, and was chosen because his name is Lee Ving - Mr. Boddy will be ‘LeaVing’ soon.
I can’t find the game of Classic Clue online, and it kills me.

First Day of Comic Con!
This spoiled, spiteful rose-spine is going. Are you?
Mrs. Scarlett has to be one of my favorite characters I designed. I wanted to make sure she lost that girlish figure she’s had for 50+ years and give the “every girl’s favorite character” spot to someone else. I changed her from Miss to Mrs. and gave her the original British Cluedo spelling on her name.
