This blog is dedicated to Dimitri Belikov, a fictional character in the book series Vampire Academy. He's my favorite character in the whole series, and I couldn't find any blogs dedicated to just him, so I decided to make this. It will include quotes, pictures and fan-art of him. I want to thank you for responding to my 2 questions about Dimitri being an honorable character.  Your answers were insightful.  I read the books quickly because I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen.  I plan to read the all of the books again, but this time I'll slow down and really savor them.  BTW, your site is awesome!

Bloodlines is good, though. I still have to finish it, mainly because I was in the process of finishing my senior year when it came out, and I got caught up in my school work and haven't had time to read. BUT I'm getting back to reading it.

So, I really so apologize for the lack of....well, stuff on this blog >.< Feel free to submit things if you'd like! I'm gonna try to lurk around for some things to post, or even make some things to post. OK, Rose did affect Dimitri and take him out of character and out of himself actually. Dimitri said he wouldn't take another man's woman because it wasn't honorable, yet he did that exact thing before Rose spoke to and broke it off with Adrian. Not so far from real life drama I suppose. Love can make people do things they never thought they would. Thanks for your previous answer. I'm not knocking Dimitri - I happen to LOVE his character.

That was all Rose, though. If Rose didn't keep pushing it, Dimitri never would have caved in. Rose was settling for Adrian, anyway. She knew she was just settling for him. She was with him because she couldn't be with Dimitri, and Adrian and Rose were both stupid for even thinking that they could remain together when Dimitri came back. Like...honestly, because her heart had always belonged to Dimitri.

What I'm really looking forward to is when Dimitri and Adrian are face to face in Golden Lily. I'm so curious as to how Dimitri would act around him, and how Adrian would act around Dimitri.

Is Dimitri honorable? He has sex with an underage girl. As an adult, he should have had more control, no matter what the reason, even love. I love the Dimitri and Rose characters, but I feel this was out of character for Dimitri. He loves Rose, but he should have waited until she was 18. Well, then the books would have been much different I suppose.

honestly, to me, if you're seventeen or eighteen and you want to date a twenty-four year old and that twenty-four year old wants you back, there's really no reason why you shouldn't go for it. i don't know why people think the ages seventeen and eighteen are so far apart. they're really not.

the whole point of dimitri and rose having sex, i believe, was to show that rose made dimitri do crazy things, and that she was the one person who could make him lose his focus and his control. because when tasha was hitting on dimitri, dimitri was like "yeah, sure i guess so whatever you say" and then rose will hit on him and he'll get all flustered and he'll have to regain his composure. rose was the only person who could make dimitri act "out of character" because she was the only one who could get to his heart and that scared him. regardless of having sex with rose, he still did everything he could to put his guardianship stuff first, same with rose.

idk. dimitri is an amazing character because of reasons. i love him and i think he's amazing, even if he did make me want to punch him in the face after he got his soul back, per say. but yeah. dimitri is just an awesome character and i think more books should have characters like him.

Are there any more characters like Dimitri Belikov? It can be fantasy or paranormal or vampires or absolutely anything. But, if there is another Dimitri out there please let me know. :p

dimitri is one of a kind, there's really no one else like him.

if you're looking for more characters that seem protective and junk, then you can read the evermore series. damien is a pretty cool character. he's not dimitri, but, like i said before, dimitri is pretty much one of a kind.
