One of my favorite pieces of Nintendo history is the Gulf War Game Boy. It’s pretty well-known among Nintendo fans but hey! It might be news to you!
After a bombing during the Gulf War, the Game Boy’s owner found it almost completely charred and melted in the wreckage of the blast and sent it back to Nintendo. A Nintendo staff member decided to try to plug it in for the heck of it, and it powered on! Once the screen was replaced it worked like a charm.
The Gulf War Game Boy is a testament to the sturdy design and enduring nature of Nintendo’s handhelds, and it’s pretty amazing to see in action. It’s on display at the Nintendo World Store in NYC, where it spends its retirement playing an endless demo of the original Tetris, adored (but not played on) by all who visit the store. Good job lil buddy, you earned it

I really wanna download the gameboy thingy for ios7 but would it cause any trouble to my iphone?
It would be fine to download on your phone but you want to make sure when downloading the app you use gearboy, the date in your phone has to be before 2010 to download the app and then after downloading you can change the date back. This is because of how the App Store was created before then.
Heya I'm having a giveaway on my tumblr of a gameboy colour and a copy of Pokemon yellow and gold. All details are on my tumblr thought you and your followers might be interested :)

Check out this week’s T-Shirt Tuesday at the RT Store.
The inspiration for this shirt came from a lot of things.
From a love of playing Zelda games and remembering how the original golden cartridge for The Legend of Zelda looked when I put it in my NES.
From the memories I have of playing hours and hours of Mario Bros., Pokemon and Kirby on my old Gameboy during road-trips.
But most of all, this shirt is inspired by Ray, who epitomizes the indoor gamer that prefers the comfortable glow of his gaming screen in his living room over the mystery and chaos of the outside world. Good on ya, mate.
This is how we celebrate the Olympics in Canada.
