a year ago bleachers didn’t exists. I mean, the songs did ….. but those were just songs which now looking back is just one piece of what has come to matter. I had an album full of songs last january that I was trying to finishing. around this time last year I wrote you’re still a mystery about my girlfriend and recorded it a solar powered studio in malibu in one day with john hill. strange and exciting place. very much the opposite of how most of the songs were created (in bed…). that was the last song to be added to strange desire. so the album was about done this time last year —— but bleachers didn’t exist. because …. what bleachers has become is something that the people who have listening to the album and come to the shows have defined all on their own. that’s why releasing music and playing shows is so important - because the fans of it have as much if not more artistic power to shift the music and show based on how they’re are reacting to it. on what it means to them in the context of what they are going through. thats what makes me feel less alone in life. I love that. makes the process into something that is living and breathing. what I’m trying to say is that I LOVE what we have created together over the last year and I’m fascinated as excited to see what we do together in 2015. thank you. so much.

you know I had no idea what to expect last february when bleachers was announced and music was starting to be released. in my wildest dreams I never would have considered that the reaction would be what it is. it’s like I have a new family between the band/crew and fans of bleachers. thank you for the greatest year I’ve experienced. cannot wait to release more music and play more shows in 2015. you’re all very inspiring. happy new year
