Today, Jens will be attempting the longest hour and on that velodrome, he will be bringing an amazing career to an end. I personally have been lucky enough to see him race in person several times, and was there to see him bring home his last professional race off the front and putting everyone through the meat grinder. It will be odd, for me and I'm sure many others, it's as if Jens has always been racing. But, while next year he will be absent from the peloton, we get one last chance to cheer him on, and hopefully into the history books.

And so ends an Era

Watching Jens race over the years has truly been a privilege. If you have any favorite Jens stories, or pictures please share them so we can remember his awesome career and wish him best for his next chapter in life.
