I'm following this blog because it's clear that you do not understand why it is fundamentally wrong for whales to be in captivity. You posted a video celebrating "wonderful footage" from Marineland France, but watching that video makes me sad, not excited or happy. Do you actually care for the welfare of the animals, or do you just think they are cute and nice to look at?
It is clear, is it? Please. We have already explained our stance on captivity numerous times. We in by no means support cetacean captivity; orcas are highly complex, intelligent animals that often exhibit stereotyped behaviours and signs of boredom in captivity. Furthermore, their spacial requirements and social capacities are seldom met in an artificial setting. We are highly aware of this. We regret how little parks like Sea World directly contribute to wild killer whale populations, or the lack of education they provide in their shows. It is one of the reasons why we are currently working on a thesis proposal regarding wild Antarctic killer whales.
Do not confuse our posts of captive killer whales as support for their circumstances. We enjoy updating ourselves and our followers about the captive killer whale population, and look for signs of increased welfare as much as we can. What is truly saddening is that people are always looking for the negatives in these facilities, rather than identifying and encouraging their potential improvements. That is extremism, and it plays no role in the actual science of animal welfare.
We are trying to make a difference for these incredible animals as a whole species, and maybe even inspire others to do the same. But thank you for your lovely criticisms; you can go back to watching Blackfish now.
Thanks for the submission!

Some wonderful footage of the Marineland France killer whales, including the birth of their newest addition, born in November.
Orca tattoo submissions? Ok. :)
