I usually don’t like to make my personal affairs public like this, but I want to believe that in doing this I can help my mother and myself. A lot of stuff has happened to me this past year, but I’m desperate for help if anyone who is reading this can take the time out of their day to hear my story.

About a year ago, my 66 year old mother worked a part-time job at a place called Wesley Berry Flowers. She worked at the main store and took phone-in orders. The Management there was awful and because of it they wouldn’t let my mother go on break to take her medicine so she ended up having a minor heart attack. She returned to work a few weeks later, but was still treated unfairly and she quit. For a short time she received unemployment, but for some reason Wesley Berry claimed that she “violated company rules” when she quit and they took our money from unemployment. leaving us $4,000 in debt. Naturally, my mother took them to court and we won the case and got our money back.

Unfortunately, A year later, Wesley Berry has filed to the government again to get that money back. Thus making it legal for them to take the $1,990 my mother was about to receive from the government for income tax.

This all happened at a very bad time.

Because of our first run-in with Wesley Berry, (being $4,000 in debt at the time) we were evicted from our apartment back in April 2015 and leaving us nowhere to go/in debt. We moved in with my father/ my mother’s ex-husband. My father claimed to be a better man than he has in the past, but in the end he returned to being an abusive jerk. He would be physically abusive around my mother. Throwing things at her. He never became physically violent with me, but he was very verbally abusive to both of us. My mother got help from Medicare and was resting from a recent surgery. I picked up a job and tried to save enough money for us to move somewhere nice. But before that could happen, my dad kicked us out and gave us 2 weeks to pack only what we could fit in the car and leave. With no living relatives left, we moved as far away as we could from my fathers reach. But without that almost $2,000 Wesley Berry JUST took from us, we are stuck at a hotel, living off my quickly depleting savings.

We’ve both already managed to secure jobs but we wont be getting paid for a least another 2 weeks. (biweekly paychecks)

We’ve only managed to secure another 4 days at this hotel and then we’ll probably be living out of our car. It would mean so much to both of us even if you just gave this post a reblog so someone else can see it. That would help us. I appreciate you reading this far; thank you.

So I guess I'll say this now

Since I don't really watch Mark's videos anymore, this blog is basically dead. It had a nice small run, but I don't see the point of running it if I don't even watch his videos. I would say that maybe one day I'd come back, but I always said that about fuckyeahroosterteethaudio and I haven't touched that blog in ages. So hey, it was nice while it lasted. If I come back, cool. If I don't, whatever.

An open letter to Markiplier and his fandom:

Dear markiplier,

It is time to break your silence. Mark, I know that your fandoms on Tumblr and Facebook, which I have spoken of my frustrations with before, are not representative of all social media. I understand that a vocal minority does not dictate the views and opinions of all nine million of your subscribers, or anyone who is not a YouTube user or who uses a shared account but watches your videos. Congratulations, Mark. You built a big community, and that takes work and deserves praise indeed.

However, for a man who says that he cares so much and wants to foster creativity and positivity in his community, I think it’s time to take a look around and speak up. Don’t quash them, don’t break it down, but become active as more than just a figurehead again, at least for a time.

First it was Comic-Con. A few people were allegedly so rowdy they got you shut down, and that’s a safety hazard and one that ruins others’ experiences. Then it was the stalking. You did speak out about this, as did Jack, but I feel that it was out of a sense of immediate urgency. I think we need to look at the rest.

Along came Jess. Hey, sorry the relationship didn’t work, and good on you for being a supportive friend, but you even ACKNOWLEDGED that people over-sexualize you in the #SexyMark skit. You know some people sent hate regardless of your intentions because they were mad she dated you or mad you kept it private.

And now the unfortunate fact arose that someone spoke dissenting opinions about you and Jess and someone on Tumblr took it upon themselves to get offended on your behalf, doxx her, make her lose her job, and eventually drove her to suicide. Yes, the suicide was her decision, but it was done because someone got pissed about something about you.

Mark, I urge you to put your foot down on some of the less savory parts of your fandom. It’s impossible to control them, but they need guidance and they’re certainly not getting enough. They look up to you. Even if they choose not to listen, at least you can say you tried.

And honestly, Mark, I’m disappointed that you haven’t really tried yet after all of this.

Fandom, if you’re truly upset that I’m asking a notably empathetic content creator to notice this mess and at least have a polite discussion, then in the words of Mr. Ross O'Donovan, come at me scrublords, I’m ripped.
