@fuckyourchampionship
It’s good🫡 considering there was something wrong with the car (I suspect it wasn’t properly fixed), it’s good. The next one is Mexico, and this is my last post. Now I move in silence
Being an Oscar fan in the big 2025 is starting to feel a lot like this guys:
Good thing he took NOT OSCAR with him
whats your honest opinion on max charles and george?
So, Max is amazing- even if some people don’t like him, they have to admit that he knows how to drive and that he lives and breathes F1 and cars. He’s the best right now.
Charles- I want him to have a good car so we can truly see what he’s capable of. I think he’s an emotional driver (not in a bad way), but he’s good. I’d really like to see how he performs now, after all these years in F1, how he’s matured as a driver. I wish he would wise up and leave Ferrari. But his overtakes are amazing, and his qualifying performances too it’s just that he’s had a crappy car. I really want to see how he would race at the front after so many years in F1, so it’s hard to say right now. Oh, and that Monza race last year an incredible performance, with perfect tire management.
George- you see, I never really had a good word to say about him, but I have to admit he’s matured as a driver. He’s not exceptional for how long he’s been in F1 at this level, he should probably be better but everyone develops differently. So now, in the current season, he’s actually good. He’s composed, and he doesn’t crash into people anymore like he used to when he was under stress. Overall, I think he’s definitely better than Norris, and I believe the British media should focus on him
this is a discussion for my fellow oscarinas. do not engage if you’re just gonna be a hater.
i’ve talked about this with a few people but i want to say it here as well. while yes it’s true that oscar hasn’t been clearly dominating the back half of the season the way he did the first half, i don’t think it has anything to do with the “pressure of the championship” getting to him. if that were the case, he would be driving sloppier (and aside from baku, he really hasn’t gotten sloppy), and he has more than proven his ability to withstand pressure by now. instead i think one of the skills he’s still building up as a driver is the stamina needed to perform strongly throughout the whole season. like look at last year, he was absolutely EXHAUSTED by abu dhabi, and he clearly struggled to hit those performance highs in the last quarter of the year. and it absolutely makes sense when you think about how grueling the current race calendar is. his first three seasons in f1 have had 22, 24, and 24 races, the year before that he didn’t race at ALL, and his schedule wasn’t nearly as packed in the junior championships. he didn’t get to build up to this level at all. he got thrown straight into the deep end, and he’s had to balance such an intense racing schedule with the huge learning curve that comes with starting in f1. i know it’s something that every driver has to get used to, but he’s still the least experienced driver who isn’t a full season rookie - the next most inexperienced driver is yuki (2021 debut) and then the 2019 rookies!! who have four more years worth of experience than him!! that’s INSANE. i think the rookie adjustment period has only gotten harder as the season length has increased and will continue to get harder with the ever-increasing media attention and promotional expectations, so i wouldn’t be surprised if the current rookies also take a couple of years to adjust
now that does NOT mean that i think he doesn’t deserve the championship or that he’s not working hard for it. in fact i think he very intentionally put in the work earlier in the year to solidify his championship bid from the get go because he knew it would only get harder as the year went on. the recency bias is WILD because a lot of y’all seem to have forgotten how insanely dominant he was at the beginning of the year even though there was ZERO hype around him being a championship contender at the start of the season. he waltzed in and tore up the script, putting in banger performance after banger performance and FORCING his way into the championship conversation (and without the tragedy at melbourne he would’ve come out the gates even stronger)
as the year has gone on, he’s been worn down by mclaren’s bullshit internal politics (starting all the way back with a completely botched strategy in imola) and by the length of the season dragging on. it absolutely doesn’t mean that he’s lost his fight. he knew how long the season would be and he knew that he would be actively working against his team for a lot of it (or at the very least going for a title bid without the full team backing that lead drivers like max get). just because he’s exhausted doesn’t mean that he isn’t fighting, so i don’t wanna see ANY doubterism even if he doesn’t fully regains his dominant stride this season. he already put in that work, and now he’s fighting to hold on to it
i also think he hasn’t gotten nearly enough credit for the learning strides he’s made this year alone. remember how at the beginning of the year he had never even gotten a pole position? remember how the h2h qualifying was 20-4 last year? remember how there were still doubts about his tire management lingering at the end of last year? remember how he didn’t stand out as a driver who was spectacular in the rain until this year? remember how he’s nearly doubled his total career points this year alone? remember how he’s more than QUADRUPLED his total career wins? like he has not hopped off that rookie learning curve yet, he has made all of those strides THIS year WHILE fighting for a championship. it’s insane. and that doesn’t even begin to get into all of the lessons he’s learned about rules politics with the stewards and team politics within mclaren, which is a whole other absolutely exhausting endeavor (and on a personal level, i am looking forward to seeing him improve his endurance in the coming years just as i have enjoyed watching him grow in every other aspect of his racing, because i know that even if he wins the championship this year, he’s not going to change his growth mentality)
i guess my point is that from the outside it might look like he’s losing his fight, but i promise you he is NOT. the lando and max fans might look at the stats and think he’s showing weakness, and the normies who just want a flashy spectacle might think he’s not fighting hard enough for it, but to the real oscar fans out there, i hope you all remember that the true joy of being his fan is watching his intentionally cultivated growth into a legend of the sport, because that’s what he wants to be and that’s what i know he’ll become
Will McLaren make any upgrades or do they not care anymore since they already have the WCC?
Is McLaren aware they gave LN4s, and now casual viewers, ammunition to shit on Oscar more after this repercussions bs???
People are going to use this to discredit anything Oscar does or dunk on him if Lando comes out ahead. I want this season to be over.
I think they are very very aware of it 🙂

Thought about that to but that would mean we are no better than them and giving them what they want. Still hate having to block people just because they are to stupid to tag or do it on purpose cause I still want to look at the oscar tag. Some that do that have anon asks on so I do call them out and annoy them until they block me, gives me a little bit of joy.
that’s an interesting approach I didn’t even think of that
It’s a clever way to get under their skin and to keep his insane fans from suddenly ganging up on you 😆 It’s happened to me a few times already, The best part was when someone posted my posts about Norris on Twitter, and that whole bunch from Twitter swarmed over here too hehe
The ammount of ln4 fans that have come out of the woods to hate on Oscar in the main tag is crazy and all of them are hiding behind the "repercussions" It's insane.
I see it this way: thanks to that they finally showed up and I can block them. But seriously they're not smart, they don't realize it's all PR. Unfortunately we still have to put up with them a bit longer, but it's best to just block them
But what always made me laugh was that they always write about that etiquette not to post hate about Norris in his tag but to use “anti” instead. Maybe I should start using his tag to piss them off and make them feel what it’s like.
With how secretive and vague they are being about these repercussions, it smells like someone who has a lot money at stake saw something was rotten in the state of McLaren and told them to figure out their PR ASAP. And we are not talking Mark Webber kind of money or even Adam Norris kind of money but more like Mastercard, Chrome or even Bahrain wealth fund kind of money
Yes
I think that in their rush to fix things quickly, they actually made the situation even worse. Now, some really unintelligent people have taken it to mean that Oscar is going to be favored. By staying silent and not addressing the consequences, McLaren have only made things worse.
At this point, their PR image is beyond repair
The only reasonable and logical thing to do would be to tell Norris that what he did was wrong, have him apologize to Oscar, and most importantly, scrap those “papaya rules” They should simply say: “You’re free to race each other if one of you hits the other, you pay for the repair costs.” And we’re talking about a lot of money here.
But Brown will never do that; he’ll keep sticking to those papaya rules (and everyone can guess why). Because of that, McLaren have become a laughingstock in the paddock
People in the F1 world are openly saying that Norris is being favored. There’s a court case, and suddenly the public learns about suspicious ties between Brown and Norris’s personal brand And one of the more important things Oscar’s absence from the WCC podium celebration. It might seem like a small thing, but it caused a lot of noise and people definitely noticed it.
The truth is finally out, and the whole “Papaya Family” PR façade has fallen apart it’s been exposed as a toxic environment.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if McLaren’s biggest investors no longer want their names associated with a team that’s become a joke and it all started with those papaya rules that were unfair to Oscar
Whatever anyone from McLaren says now, their words are being questioned. The whole world will be watching closely to see what they do during the races and they’ve brought all of this on themselves. It honestly makes me happy that McLaren’s PR has collapsed, and I can’t wait to see what happens next and what more damage they’ll have to deal with.
Max is the funniest one in all of this, I hope he talks even more about McLaren
Oh, and just as a reminder Oscar had a weaker car last year when McLaren made him play the number 2 role
I figured there would be consequences for crashing into the other guy I wonder what kind, though. It’s funny that NOT OSCAR wouldn’t have faced any consequences if it weren’t for the audience and all the publicity. But I think there won’t be any consequences in the end
Oh, I just remembered that actually Oscar got reprimanded publicly after Monza, and he was made the number 2 driver, so obviously NOT OSCAR won’t get any reprimand or be demoted to the number 2 position. But it’s funny to watch his fans believe there will be consequences and lose their minds over it.
I can’t believe people are buying the repercussion talk😭 like both drjvers had almost identically answers because they were coached on what to say. You actually think McLaren would punish their golden boy? Lando’s not in trouble at all they’re only saying he is because of all the backlash tanking their pr.
Yup
I just realized that I probably deleted that post with the screenshot from Twitter by accident
