hey professor why do you have a bunch of pictures of yourself on the wall?
I love you, my friends
The agent could tell that the robot wasn’t willing to take any chances of attack, considering the fact that he was responding to her properly than any other unresponsive robot, yet she still kept herself in the pit of doubt. How many times did she and her beloved partner get into a situation where the people they’ve trusted the most, were just a bunch of backstabbers? Too many. It was hard for her to trust a single person, and the only trustworthy people she knew were only a minimum of three.
Before Scully could even respond to the robot, the sound of a helicopter coming closer to their direction suddenly alarmed her. They knew that a UFO had crash-landed here, and they knew for a fact that the driver could still be here. They would never give the individual a chance to speak for themselves–the bastards. Putting her arms down along with the weapon, she pointed east where the woodlands were at. “You need to hide and get out of here” she said in an immediate tone, “these people won’t give you a chance if you stay–”.
‘oh dear,’ with the low roar of an approaching helicopter worming its way through the post-crash haze of his mind, Professor Honeycutt sent himself back a step; alarmed eyes twitching into anxious little circles as his every figurative nerve was sent on end. ‘that can’t be good.’ he surmised, though it made nowt clearer about his situation.
briefly, his optics fixated onto the lowered weapon - and flickered then to the woman bearing it. mere seconds ago, this agent was holding him at gunpoint; nothing but severity and suspicion written into her features. now, she was mapping out his escape plan. Fugitoid would have surely laughed, had the situation been apt. unfortunately, to obey her command so directly was a test to the android’s innate compassion --- any and all absconding halting in its tracks as Fugitoid ever-so-tensely asked, “but what of you, madam?”
“They sure act like it,” he huffed. “They always do this! Ever since we started fighting the Kraang, and then the Foot, and then everything else it’s always ‘Sebastian don’t get too involved’, ‘go find somewhere to hide’, ‘You shouldn’t be here’. Even after everything they still don’t think I can handle myself.”
Sebastian sighed heavily and slumped on the stairs, cupping his cheek in his hand and gazing down at the floor. “I thought that if maybe I did some extra training while they were gone, I could get better, and then they might let me tag along…”
“my apologies, Sebastian. surely, they only have good intentions.” the android assured, his next words an afterthought; chosen carefully, and thus, spoken slowly as Honeycutt slid his hand from the ninja’s shoulder. “unfortunate as the fact may be, you are... marginally more vulnerable than your brothers."
it was evident, he knew, by the timbre of his voice that the professor was treading carefully in his speech. no doubt, Sebastian had heard similar before; and Fugitoid could only imagine how irking it must be for the universe to act as such a broken record. “however,” he amended, quickly; hardly allowing the boy to get a word in. “everybody has their limits on what they can handle. if you truly think that you can tackle a mission, then your brothers really have no reason to object!”
