I'm currently experimenting a little with editing styles. Sometimes I'll edit a photo with a heavy colour cast like these, and while individual photos will come off looking a bit heavy handed, once they're placed in a larger photoset they create a vibe I really enjoy.
I suspect I'll still edit most of my photos with the sensibilities I've picked up over many years, but it'll still fun to experiment.

I picked up my first drone, a DJI Mavic Pro! I’ve been keen on adding a drone to my toolset for a while now, and the combination of a potential job that will make use of it, and my growing interest in videography meant now was the right time to make a purchase.
Here’s one of the first shots I took with it, which will probably end up being an all-time favourite of mine that I edit in different ways over the years. That red structure in the middle-right of the image is Calvary Hospital, and it’s where I was born almost 30 years ago!
Kunanyi/Mt. Wellington, Hobart
This was a pretty awesome day! I decided I’d shoot a sunrise down at the Hobart waterfront, and ran into a well known local photographer named Paul (@LoveThyWalrus on Instagram). We decided to drive up Mt. Wellington, and after getting stopped half-way up due to snow, we decided to walk along the road until we reached it. This boulder field is as far as we got before we had to turn back. Later that day I ran into another local photographer and her partner, and spent the rest of the day up the mountain after the road had opened.

Melbourne Skyline, Yarra River
Earlier this year I decided to move to Melbourne for a short while and test the waters for a more permanent move down the track. I spent six weeks living in the suburb of Fairfield close to the city, and spent a number of evenings shooting sunsets by the Yarra River. This was one of my favourite angles!

how did you find that wombat, and how come it didn't run away?? nice blog ;)
Hey thanks! Those wombat photos were taken at Cradle Mountain in northern Tasmania. They're bloody everywhere up there, and don’t seem to mind you getting close most of the time (I think they’re too busy eating as much as possible to pay much attention to people).

Cheers to everyone who shared my wombat photo over the last few weeks! I really got an explosion of followers and notes on that one :)
