I'm unsure if I want to fully abandon my art block (lack of posting has been cause of the lack of finished pieces), but for now, no guarantee of further posting. Sorry y'all
Thank you for everyone who has been keeping the Twin Cities and the greater Minnesotan area in your minds lately. However, there's a lot of fights on many fronts, and I fear a bill has been going through the house right now as the nation is distracted by a different way Minnesota is getting violated. The House of Representatives recently passed a bill to repeal a 20-year ban on mining in the Boundary Waters area. This ban is so young it happened during the Biden administration.
This is going to pose a huge risk for many Minnesotans. Issues that will rise include but are not limited to:
The fact that this is continued destruction of seized Anishinaabe land. Within the last decade, both oil and mining companies have been looking to further move into the area as water guardians continue to face police violence during protests.
This is a MASSIVE watershed full of groundwater, lakes, rivers, etc. and it feeds into the Mississippi River. Pollution there is going to seep into the ground and downstream. Impact will likely be felt for generations.
Usage of water for mining is often pumped groundwater, leading to degredation in soil health, along with the risk of creating drought conditions. This comes with a whole slew of ecosystem risks for every living thing in the area.
If you guys are able to, call in and ask your senators to oppose the bill. People here deserve the right to clean water and land to live on.

ummmm so. normally i'm not the type of person to dump like, ALL of my problems and trauma and issues into the public eye unprompted but things have kind of reached a limit, and i'm at the point where i think i kind of desperately need to start saving up some proper funds to get the fuck out of this situation. i'll try to keep it brief:
i'm pretty severely chronically ill (narcolepsy, POTS, suspected lupus though if its not that then it def is SOME sort of severe autoimmune condition, fibromyalgia, EDS, etc) and am not currently employed, though i am working on that for what it's worth. but i am currently stuck in a severely dangerous home situation where my family has become extremely abusive (physically, mentally, emotionally, etc) and no amount of family therapy or effort on my part has worked to reduce this, which is making me sicker and is likely going to kill me sooner rather than later if the lupus thing is confirmed. in addition to that my extended family is lashing out in the same ways as well and has largely abandoned me despite offering aid previously.
and to top it off on all of that, my mother's "husband" (who is my age. and who she's known for all of a year, and has dated for even less time than that before getting married in secrecy behind all of ours backs to get him a green card while lying about his age and legal status. who is ALSO abusing me, of course.) has been arrested as of this morning, and is now on ICE hold and is likely going to be deported. he had our only car with him which has now been confiscated, and was the only person in our home who is (was...) currently employed which means we no longer have any income.
i have already been missing meals due to a lack of funds/nausea and struggling with the chronic pain that the stress of all of this has brought on, but it's ummmm. really bad now. i'm going to be looking into group home living on monday, and i will begin job training sometime in early january. but regardless of how things play out from there, i really do think it's imperative that i make some sort of effort to get even an ounce of stability and support going forwards.
so, um. please do not give anything if you can't afford to, i understand that times are tough for everyone right now and we're all struggling. and please don't feel bad if you aren't able to help either. but if you can do anything, even just reblogging this, i would very much appreciate it.

For those looking for the revised version of the OCLO repack, here it is! Barry is now cropped properly, so visual quality is no longer compromised.
As for those who want both packs, here they are! I plan to update these with Clash manager redraws eventually, along with a pack with the Rewritten cogs (currently waiting on all original cogs to be released).
