Soooo like, I have this idea while listening to hazbin hotel songs lol.
Basically Nurse is the one who got the idea of the rehab center and Head nurse, her gf (cuz I said so) helped her. The city they lived in is filled with anomalies, and she didn't liked the seeing them getting killed. Mostly because intern, Nurse's friend, turned into one but is still some what sane.
Think of Head nurse n Nurse as Vaggie n Charlie.
Unfortunately they don't have that much funds n was close to shutting down when Dr. Harlow approached them. Idk why he does I just got this idea from a few hours ago lol
Dr. Harlow gives them a deal and ofc they accepted Since they didn't have that much of a choice.
Most of the other characters came from Dr. Harlow's hospital. Including security, doctor and secretary.
Secret agent is sent there to investigate about the place, basically a spy n all that.
The interns are the first four to ever enter the rehab center, including Barney who's only there for coffee lmao
More important info:
The anomaly is an infection.
No one knows where it came from or how it it was created but it's been around for decades.
You can get infected via saliva. Mostly from bites. The transformation is very slow, and once it reaches the brain and settle in the person is no longer themselves. Despite that the victim is still conscious, but they can't control their body anymore.
If someone is completely infected it's impossible to cure them, so the authorities either kill them or use them for research.
Dr. Harlow is basically the Alastor(Hazbin hotel) in this au. I'm still brainstorming for his motives. Rn I'm thinkin that he's using the rehab center as a hospital? And, like, does things to the anomalies. Still not sure about it ToT
It's set in a apocalyptic world. But, like, there's cities that doesn't have that much anomalies.
Oren (orange intern) would sneak out of the rehab center to help other anomalies.
The public is split into three groups: Ones that support the rehab center, those against it, and the ones who doesn't really have an opinion on it. Most of them are against it though.The rehab center is located in a isolated area to avoid the anomalies getting out and attacking people, and to the people who try to get in to rebel.
There's a MASSIVE wall surrounding the AARC building
.There are a ton of anomalies in the AARC. Though there has been a problem. Anomalies aka the patients are going missing. I wonder why.... Side eyes Dr. Harlow
Even though Nurse, who I'm calling Hana, is the founder n creator of AARC, she relies on Head nurse n Dr. Harlow a lot.
The victim/animals will slowly turn more anomalistic like having hind legs, on all fours etc. They will also feel less sapient as the virus progress.
The rehab center for now only stabilize them. They haven't truly cured a anomaly.
The patients/anomalies have ankle monitors that can electrocute them when necessary. Like if they lose control.
And that's basically it. I'm fully open to different au names, class roles etc. and I'm also planning on giving them names so it'll be a big help if you have any suggestions!
After I do all of my intern reference sheets I'll focus on this au.

Fun fact: The parents of the infected children would sometimes put them up for adoption or abandon them to the rehab center. Most of the children are not aware of it so they are left waiting for them to come back. :D

Helloooooooo, question about the rehab au, do they have a like, uniform or dress code for anomalies?
Yeah! Though it's not really strict. They can wear anything that's mostly white and has the symbol of the Rehab center, which I'm still workin on so any suggestions is really appreciated. They also must ALWAYS have their ankle monitors and shock collars at all times, except for showering cuz the shock collars might turn on.
Fun fact: the anomalies aren't allowed to the kitchen anymore cuz Pink ate the chef alive set the kitchen on fire XD
Pink personally doesn't like that she has to put up one side of her pants so it would be comfy. Though oren doesn't really mind. But it's kinda hard to tell with Oren. He's really good at faking a smile
