@bloodied-hunters idk if you are still doing the "not so human found family" (I wouldn't be surprised after the whole AI thing Neowiz pulled off) but if you are still interested, I had really twisted thought.
It's tied to the gameplay elements of LoP, the NG+ system, in which you unlock new abilities with new game cycle and get higher rewards. So, what if after choosing the Real Boy ending, you would get amulet and weapon from both Wolf and Good Hunter?
Like, after seeing Pinocchio's heart being taken away into Nameless Puppet, Wolf just gives up on life and doesn't even go Shure, simply letting Geppetto end him and Good Hunter does typical Great One breakdown, cursing everyone, going no-contact with humanity.
After being transported into Hotel Krat, the inventory would have new items- weapons, amulets and attires.
Attites are, well, clothing of both Wolf and Hunter. But weapons would be slightly changed weapons from both Sekiro and BB.
"Kusabimaru"
Description: An heirloom of long lost Hirata family, weapon given to Wolf by his former master. Even as masterless hound, Wolf clings to the mantra echoed by blade's name "A shinobi's role is to kill, but even a shinobi must not forget mercy".
It would be special weapon, giving more frames for parrying with it's Fable Arts being something like Ichimonji or Ashina Cross (or all the kicks and shit from Senpou, just for some hand to hand combat). Or add Mikiri Counter for some fun with bosses and enemies.
"Shadow's Death Amulet"
Description: Suppressing ones presence is essential skill of lost shinobi art. Wolf might suppressed much more than just his mere presence- which only ended in his own emotions overtaking him eventually.
It would basically make enemies' aggro much smaller, basically Cat Dust, but working constantly (and much better).
"Burial Blade"
Description: Weapon belonging to old master of Hunter, trophy from duel to death. Forged from siderite, said to fallen from the heavens; Hunter shared their old master's belief- that any prey deserved kind end, to never again wake up in harrowing nightmare.
It could transform from one-handed moveset to two-handing without usage of Fable Charge and special skills would be the Gehrman's explosion and the giant leap into the air. With corny ass names like: "Moon's Cry" or shit like that. And it would boost rally after block.
"Parent Amulet"
Description: Amulet carved from stone, made with care, still slightly warm. Great Beings are fated to lose their children, seek a new one as replacemant. Maybe Hunter hoped they could be different, but it was never possibility. Yet, amulet still emits gentle warmth.
It would give damage and defense boost at full health. I was thinking about something that would be high risk/high reward but LoP already had that (Duelist Amulet, Morbid Ambition's Amulet), so I went with different angle- Great One wanting to give their child slight edge in the fight, since highly decreased damage alongside block+rally would make great combo.
Like I said, I imagine those things being only available as NG+ rewards and only after the worst ending, just to add insult to the whole things. Not only Pinocchio is gone but also his new parents are also gone and you stole their drip+weapons.
I was thinking you would instead get their ergo and then exchange it for either amulet or weapon but idk how that would happen. Or have the amulets be normally reward for finishing the game without Real Boy Ending and then weapons be locked only to that.
Wearing their clothes on NG+, both Wolf and Hunter would be surprised- Wolf would get suspicious but not comment. Hunter would know quickly some time sheaniningans are at play but play dumb... maybe even try to steer P into better ending.
